This property should be condemned or at least be inspected by osha and the health department ASAP.
We checked in pretty late at night, we came into a room that had a big puddle on the bedroom floor because of an active water leak. The room stunk and had visible mold. The bathroom walls were dirty and damaged.
We cleaned up the puddle and after flushing the toilet later, the puddle reappeared in the bedroom.
The water was seeping up through the floor. This seems to be an ongoing problem for that room because the entire floor looks like it’s had years of water damage and never replaced.
We would’ve stayed the first night if we could breathe. It was truly a hazard.
We called the front desk and they could not accommodate us with a different room, so we had to leave and find a different hotel in San Diego in the middle of the night.
The girl at the front acted as if she’s heard it a million times and did not seem to care. She said we’d have to talk to the hotel manager if we wanted a refund.
We called Expedia and our credit card company immediately.
We didn’t expect high end for the price, but we thought we would get at least a comfortable and clean, hazard free, room. Nope, not here. This is not the place.
We did get a beautiful room, but it was at a different hotel at 3am.
