The Space:

My home exudes unique charm with a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Large windows flood the space with natural light, and the comfy mattresses are perfect for unwinding. Rainy days are ideal for cuddling up and watching movies on the TV, with WiFi provided. If you prefer to dine in, the kitchen offers space for your culinary adventures. After a day spent walking, shopping, and eating, you'll love returning to a super comfy queen-size bed. The house features heating to keep you warm in the winter and A/C for summer cooling; the upstairs bedrooms can be warmer.



Guest Access:

The guest living areas are yours, with no shared interior spaces. The basement is a separate personal/office space with its own entrance.

The Neighborhood:

The Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a diverse array of top-notch local flavors! Make new friends over food at the Cartopia food cart pod, or share a pie at Apizza Scholls.



Portland isn’t just for foodies. Hawthorne’s vibrant indie spirit is alive with an abundance of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore, making it a true hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews.



If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of fun, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 176-acre city park atop a volcanic cinder cone. Here, you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city, perfect for a day of outdoor adventure.



Getting Around:

The basement is a separate personal/office space with its own entrance. There are no shared interior spaces, but the host may come and go from that separate area at times.



🌿 Outdoor Space

Outdoor seating is on the large front porch and rear deck. There is not a fenced yard; the ground-level outdoor area is a grassy parking strip/driveway area.



🚗 Parking

The driveway is around back and is steep, so low-clearance vehicles may prefer nearby free street parking where permitted; follow posted signs and allow for open spaces.



Upstairs rooms can be warmer than the main floor, and thermostat settings have limits.



🚭 No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. Guests who wish to smoke or vape must leave the property completely.



Interaction with Guests:

We're available by message anytime and typically respond within minutes. We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there.
