We stayed here already for the 4th time. And we really like the hotel, it’s the best you can find in the pismo area, but this time we were quite disappointed about pricing of the room. We got the very last room “ocean view” facing the Pismo Pier and the whole parking lot on the other side. At the morning at 6.30/7am we were woken up by the noises of all the trash trucks collection the trash right under our balcony! I guess bad luck this time, but I would have rather stayed in one of the rooms facing to the back and saved 300 dollars instead spending 640 dollar for that room.

They could get better plumbing fixtures - ours where hard to turn on and off. Also the toilets were low ones - get with the time and install tall toilets with soft touch toilets seats. The cost for parking was a little high i will say that. $45.00!!!

I paid $1000/night for premium room: 2 beds, 1 sofa bed and ocean view. When we got the room real late at night, we were tired so we didn’t really check the room out. Next morning found out it was not ocean view, I asked the front desk, she told me that the room was actually ocean view, unless we were ok to move to a room that has ocean view right in front, but the room has no sofa bed. I was like either way that I didn’t get what I paid for as advertised a she shrugged her shoulders and said that was because I booked through 3rd party - Expedia, they just put things randomly on there. I was speechless but was too tired to continue unrationale conversation

Vespera is by far, the BEST boutique hotel we've stayed in. They are very accommodating and extremely courteous. From valet to front desk to the outside poolside bartender they are professional and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. Overall 12 out of 10.

Stay next door at the SandCastle
Booked an Ocean view room with a balcony. Got a ground level room near the back of the property where you could barely see the ocean if you walked out on to the patio. Patio was directly adjacent to the valet parking driveway. One of there employees scared the hell out of us when took it upon himself to sit on the patio retaining wall while he waited for his ride to go home. The front door of the room is about 20 feet from the front desk and entry to hotel and 40 feet from the bar. Supposed to be quiet after 10:00. We were kept up until 1:00 a.m. from all the noise/commotion coming from the bar. I complained when we first checked into our room, but “there was nothing we could do”. The next morning I complained about the noise and the safety of the patio access off the street. Both employees ar the front desk confirmed they receive constant complaints about this room and “management is debating on what to do with it”. They did move us for our second night. Hotel is newer, built around 2019, but they practice cheap ways to save money at the guests expense. Such as cheap single ply toilet paper/tissues and god awful coffee for the kerig. Half of the out door fire pits were inoperable and if you want to rent a bike, it’s $15/hr!!!! I rent bikes all the time down in San Diego for $15/day. If you can, stay next door at the Sandcastle, couldn’t this trip because they were booked.

Wonderful beachside pet-friendly hotel!
My husband and I recently adopted a dog and wanted to take a pet-friendly road trip down the coast. We loved our time at Vespera. The hotel is very lovely -- modern, clean, elegant. We grabbed a drink at the outdoor bar and the hotel staff gave us dog treats! The food and drink options in the hotel are also fantastic, and the outdoor seating makes it simple to bring your dog to meals and to hang out. The area is also perfect -- the hotel is right on the beach and near some great Pismo restaurants and shopping options. We loved it and will be back!
Nice, walkable boardwalk next to the hotel.

We had dinner at Pequin. We were disappointed in the quality of the food. The fingerling potatoes were flavorless, the black cod crudo was very fishy, the wings were almost too spicy to eat, the pozole was warm (not hot) and the service was lackluster. We asked for drink refills twice, along with some lemon wedges to squeeze on the crudo. It forever, along with two requests to get either item. We had high hopes for the dinner, but unfortunately we were sadly let down. The resort is nice and the amenities were okay. You have corn hole, but no bean bags, you have games but with none of the required pieces to play the games. Great location and clean facilities is really the only strong point.....

Pros: convenient, quiet, and beautiful rooms. Cons: menus online are misleading- coffee cart is only offered during the summer. No 24/7 room service. No late midnight snack. The bar was the only place to order breakfast and coffee. Extremely understaffed- she was literally running around everywhere. At this point I’d rather stay at a Holiday Inn or La Quinta for free coffee. Water refill stations are only on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Ice machine was broken. Not sure what this “resort fee” was for…

Property was clean, staff at reception were very nice as well as folks in the restaurant. Few chairs and a small table in room would have been nice! Also place requires expensive valet parking unless you can find your own street parking (which is very difficult).
