Die Hotelanlage ist klein und sehr liebevoll angelegt. Super zum entspannen, besonders durch die direkte Strandlage! Die Speisen im Restaurant waren lecker, aber nicht besonders üppig. Leider ist die Auswahl an anderen Restaurants dort nicht besonders groß. Direkt am Hotel können für 20$ pro Tag Surfbretter geliehen werden. Täglich findet ein Yogakurs statt. Etwas schade fanden wir, dass die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche nicht 100% sauber waren. Die Bettdecke hatte außerdem kleine Löcher. Wir hatten das günstigste Zimmer, das Private Retreat. Dieses ist über eine kleine Treppe zu erreichen und insgesamt sehr klein. Besonders das Badezimmer ist winzig. Große Menschen werden es hier sicherlich schwer haben.

Nettes Hotel
Ein schöne Anlage mit ausgezeichneter Lage am Strand (eigenes Fahrzeug ist natürlich Voraussetzung). Das Frühstück ist lecker, die Zimmer sind sauber (wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber noch akzeptabel) und der Pool ist natürlich sehr angenehm. Wir waren dort 2 Nächte und für diesen Zeitraum kann man es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Schönes kleines Hotel direkt am Strand
Wir waren mit unseren Kindern, 7 und 10 Jahre alt für 2 Tage dort. Wir fanden es klasse! Schöne Details, wie Blumen am Bungalow und auf den Tischen. Kostenloses Wasser. Überall Hängematten. Das Essen ist auch sehr frisch und lecker. Unser Sohn hat einen Surfkurs gemacht. Es ist dort super geeignet um es zu lernen. Der Pool herrlich. Super geeignet für Familien, oder Paare, Freunde, die Ruhe mögen. Denn abends ist nicht viel los.

Einfach traumhaft... Kleines, einfaches Hotel an toller Lage direkt am Strand. Super Service durch das sehr freundliche Personal und die Inhaber. Tolles, kleines Restaurant. Einfach alles mit enormem Charm. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Excellent Stay
We are a family of 4 and we got the room right in front of the pool. Room is clean and the pool is just a few steps away from our room. My teenager daughters love it. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent! The beach is just right in front of the hotel. In the late afternoon, you can see the thick clouds and storm coming in. I would strongly recommend this place if you are looking for a quaint and safe beach town.

We absolutely loved our stay at this relaxed, quaint and chill facility. The pool, beach and beach amenities are superb. It is not a busy place - perfect for people and families looking to escape the high energy of the city or beach towns. The cottages are very well-maintained, well-appointed, quiet and clean. Food is great and service is excellent. We highly recommend recommend the yoga and surf lessons, too!

The staff at Encantada are some of the best of any place we've traveled. From the owners, to the housekeepers, grounds crew, Yoga teacher, and restaurant staff, they all know how to be hospitable, kind, welcoming, and courteous. My wife's second time here, my first, it won't be a lst for either of us. Already planning a return trip with the kids!

Very nice ocean front cottage. Facility is well kept throughout. Room is clean and has personal touch. Entire facility is not big so ocean is really steps away from all rooms. We walked on beach in Early morning, breakfast and I did Yoga and kids did surf lesson. We only stayed 2 nights but could definitely stay longer. We will come back. Thank you for the hostility.

Dream location
Stay here! Our family of 5 had a dreamy time during our stay. It is a small resort with only 6 or 7 cottages— which means no crowding and lots of personal touches. It is truly on the beach and everything we hoped for. We participated in the beach yoga and surf lessons. The on-site restaurant was fresh and delicious. So many times it felt like we had the beach completely to ourselves. Stay here— you’ll be glad you did!

Wonderful Place to Relax at the Beach
Encantada is a beautiful facility with a beach on the Pacific in Esterillos Este. It also has a pool and yoga classes. It's an wonderful place to relax for a few days.

Serene spot with great surf
Beautiful and serene spot. Everything was done very well for a quiet and relaxing stay. My husband and son also enjoyed the bonus of being on a great surf spot with the best waves of the few days directly out front the hotel.

We LOVED our stay at this secluded gem. It is situated on a gorgeous beach with almost nobody else in sight. The villa was very well designed, with very comfortable beds. The staff were amazing and added a very personal touch. The food menu was fairly limited in size as there aren’t many guests but the food was all delicious. I tried food at the nearby resort which was supposed to be stand out, and actually preferred Encantada. The yoga classes with Christina really stood out as the highlight of the trip, but we also enjoyed surf lessons with the local surf instructor. The only downside (or upside, depending on your perspective) was that WiFi did not reach inside our villa. This place was perfect!!!

I was blown away by everything at Encantada Ocean Cottages. The rooms were large and cleaned every day, the food was incredible and the included breakfasts were better than I could have imagined. The location and overall property has everything you could possible want and is extremely well kept. My absolute favorite part however, was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and happy to help or just chat at any time - and I mean everyone. From the groundskeeper Ruje, to the surf instructors Alfredo, Anthony, and Christopher, to the chef Gerald and his staff, to the yoga instructor Christina, the security guard Victor and the day time managers Shirley and Ricky, the owners Tiffany and her husband, and the bar tenders/hosts/waiters/doers of everything Daniel and Roger - my hats off to everyone working at this fine establishment. They made my first trip to Costa Rica unbelievable and I will return to just stay at these cottages with these great people. You will not regret your stay at Encantada.

Great location for day trips up and down the coast, the quiet beach right out the door and a great staff. The Thursday night happy hour with the live band was a nice touch. The availability of surf and boogie boards as well as bicycles for rent right on sight is very convenient.
