Ein kleines Hotel mit persönlichem Charm
Eine Oase in der Hotellandschaft. Klein, fein und persönlich herzlich. Solche Hotels sind schwer zu finden. Man fühlt sich wohl gleich vom ersten Augenblick an. Wir hatten ein riesiges Apartment, mit 2 Bädern, eine voll ausgestattet Küche, Wohn-Esszimmer, einem grossen Schlafzimmer mit 2 Betten und eine kleine private Terrasse mit Gasgrill. Es war wirklich alles vorhanden und liebevoll eingerichtet.

Sehr zu empfehlen!
Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, sehr sauber, sehr netter Empfang, hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, sehr gut ausgestattete Gemeinschaftsküche (und super sauber!) mit ganztägig Kaffee und frischem Obst. Supermarkt ca 1 km entfernt. Nach Downtown fährt ein kostenloser Shuttle, dort gibt es sehr viele Restaurants; am Pool gab es ausreichend Liegen und Spühnebel, wodurch sogar die 46 Grad angenehm waren. Insgesamt waren wir rundum zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Hotel California in Palm Springs is a delightful place to stay. It's a convenient drive to downtown. My room was very clean and comfortable and they include a lot of amenities like snacks, water, and soda. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast consists of prepackaged muffins, toast, cold cereal, yogurt, some fruit, coffee, and tea. There's a common kitchen and barbecue as well. The freezer is stocked with ziplock bags of ice, which is a nice touch. The pool area is nice with chairs and some tables around. Some of the rooms have their own seating area outside of their room. The only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars is that the property is on a somewhat busy street, so there is traffic noise when you're hanging out at the pool. It was quiet in my room, but just not as tranquil as I would like outside. Fortunately, there isn't a stop sign or stoplight nearby, so the traffic just goes by, and it's not going particularly fast because the property is right near a sharp curve in the road. Aside from the noise of the cars, I thought that Hotel California was fantastic!

Staff is friendly, accommodating and authentically caring about patron's comfort. The grounds and rooms are well kept and clean. The community kitchen that is open 24/7 is more than well stocked for breakfast. If you desire to cook or have your own food the kitchen provides all the accoutrements you need. Warm pool and even warmer hot tub is lovely along with the overall sweet garden feel of the pool area. Rooms are comfortable. It might be nice if they consolidated a couple rooms to make a suite as all rooms are small. Only changes I would recommend is to upgrade pillows and tub/shower could be upgraded. Great home base for getting to know the Palm Springs area.

Great boutique hotel
Loved the warm welcome, offering of drinks and snacks. We had a nice room upstairs with a view of the mountains. It was a little noisy from the pool crowd but otherwise everything was great. Next time we will be sure to get a regular bed, the sofa bed was not the most comfortable.

We liked the fact that this was a small hotel for adults only ; no kids !! It was also beautiful with the vegetation, views of the mountains, and the ambience at nighttime with candles lit around the pool, and a sitting area with flaming heat. But the most important feature was a friendly and super-helpful staff !!

Beautiful small hotel. We were so happy to have use of the heated pool in the middle of January. The staff is lovely and the rooms are very nice too. There are lots of free snacks and beverages available which was extremely convenient. A wonderful value for the price. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Palm Springs.

Great quaint little boutique hotel. Very comfortable and relaxed environment. Only issue was we arrived at 10:00 pm and there wasn’t anyone there to check us in. Called many times and finally got someone to answer and give us check in instructions at about 10:45. Or really wasn’t that big of a deal thankfully and the rest of our stay made up for that little snafu. Very nice friendly staff. We’ll definitely stay here again.

I could have had a wonderful weekend until I asked at 3 pm the manager when can I get my room cleaned? he answered me very sarcastically why didn't you put your sign on the door? that's how we know when to clean... first of all, its a very small and remote motel with a maximum of 8/9 rooms and there was just 5 people at the motel...there was no sign whatsoever in the room to out on the door, it was just a very unfriendly answer and I will never recommend that place, for the price I paid $800 for two nights and be pushed away because my question was stupid `

Floors were filthy--I walked barefoot and a few minutes later the bottoms of my feet were black. Also they launder the sheets in detergent that has a really strong odor and it made it almost impossible for me to sleep on them--I had to cover the pillows with my tee shirts. The pool was generally murky and in need of skimming/cleaning. The bathroom is in need of an update, for sure.

Highly recommend
We all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hotel California. Terri and Dawn were both so friendly and helpful - we were made to feel very welcome.The grounds were lovely to relax in and we were delighted to see the hummingbirds. We enjoyed borrowing the bikes too. A great stay and we would definitely return.

Though built a long time ago (1940's) the hotel has been well updated while retaining the rustic atmosphere. Everything is well-maintained and the staff is great. The location is also very convenient for checking out local attractions and restaurants.

When we first checked in totally helped us out cuz I had the month wrong. The whole staff was excellent!! The property was clean and very beautiful if you like nature like we do. Going to stay there again for sure!

Loved the enclosed area with a quaint courtyard and pool/hot tub area. We watched hummingbirds come during our stay to some of the flowers and bluebirds bathe in the fountain in the courtyard. It was a great location to either head up to downtown Palm Springs or out to Rancho Mirage/La Quinta areas. Relatively close to the airport without being in the flight path. Would definitely stay again.
