"After reading some negative comments about the hotel we we're a bit insecure whether to book. But in the end, it was the perfect choice and we had a wonderful time at Casa d'Irene. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Check-in was very smooth and fast. We booked a classic room and asked for a room with daylight. The room was quite spacious (more than enough space for two people with two large suitcases) and it was almost new. We really liked the nice, modern design of the room. We even got some cookies and Raki as a welcome gift. The only small inconvenient was that the room was opposite to the reception. But it turned out that this was not really a problem. We were never bothered by other people talking in the reception. Concerning the parking situation, there is the possibility to park in the streets next to the hotel or at a parking lot in 1 minute walking distance. We did not encounter any problems to enter the parking lot. Platanos is a picturesque small village. There are many very good restaurants close to the hotel. The wonderful Falassarna beach is only a 10 minutes drive away. And Casa d'Irene is also ideally located to explore other beautiful spots on the island of Crete (like for example Elafonisi beach, Balos beach, Paleochora, Samaria gorge, Chania, etc.). This was our first stay on the island of Crete, but we will come back for sure!"

"Wir waren 4 Tage hier in einem großzügigen Zimmer mit guten Betten, kleiner Küchenzeile und Meerblick. Schöner Pool vorm Haus und 200 Meter zum prima Sandstrand mit kostenfreien Liegen, Sonnenschirmen und Handtüchern. Ein leckeres Frühstück mit tollem Blick drinnen wie draußen runden den Urlaub ab. 1,8 Km zum Hafen unbedingt mit dem Boot nach Balos Beach und Gramvousa fahren. Beste Taverne "Kouzou Mama." Sehr netter Wirt mit super Essen. Direkt am Meer. Top Preis-Leistung! Also Nautilus Bay mit Frühstück buchen und Abends zu Kouzou Mama. Viel Spaß! "

Die Zimmer selbst haben uns nicht überzeugt, sie sind in die Jahre gekommen und wirken nicht sehr gemütlich. Wenn man sie moderner gestalten würde, wäre das Hotel wirklich super und hätte vier Sterne verdient. "
