"After reading some negative comments about the hotel we we're a bit insecure whether to book. But in the end, it was the perfect choice and we had a wonderful time at Casa d'Irene. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Check-in was very smooth and fast. We booked a classic room and asked for a room with daylight. The room was quite spacious (more than enough space for two people with two large suitcases) and it was almost new. We really liked the nice, modern design of the room. We even got some cookies and Raki as a welcome gift. The only small inconvenient was that the room was opposite to the reception. But it turned out that this was not really a problem. We were never bothered by other people talking in the reception. Concerning the parking situation, there is the possibility to park in the streets next to the hotel or at a parking lot in 1 minute walking distance. We did not encounter any problems to enter the parking lot. Platanos is a picturesque small village. There are many very good restaurants close to the hotel. The wonderful Falassarna beach is only a 10 minutes drive away. And Casa d'Irene is also ideally located to explore other beautiful spots on the island of Crete (like for example Elafonisi beach, Balos beach, Paleochora, Samaria gorge, Chania, etc.). This was our first stay on the island of Crete, but we will come back for sure!"

"The hotel is a 5 minutes up the hill of the restaurant area of Sfakian, parking is in front of the hotel. We had a room with a balcony and a nice sea view, the furniture was very simple but everything worked well. Breakfast was ok. There is a swimming pool but we did not use it. "

"Es war alles in Ordnung. Uns hat es gefallen. Die Einrichtung war allerdings schon etwas älter. Ein wenig unglücklich war nur der Zugang zu unserem Apartment, das zwar im Erdgeschoss lag, aber durch den Architekten so gebaut war, dass man trotzdem noch ein paar Stufen hoch und runtersteigen musste um ins Zimmer zu gelangen. Mit Kinderwagen war das leider nervig. Preis-Leistung war ok für “nur Frühstück”."

"Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage direkt am Meer. Die gesamte Anlage macht einen gepflegten Eindruck. Die Zimmer selbst haben uns nicht überzeugt, sie sind in die Jahre gekommen und wirken nicht sehr gemütlich. Wenn man sie moderner gestalten würde, wäre das Hotel wirklich super und hätte vier Sterne verdient. "

"Sehr guter Empfang! Das Hotel war ausgebucht - uns wurde gegen Aufpreis eine bessere Zimmerkategorie angeboten und dieses Angebot nahmen wir an. Die „normalen“ Zimmer sind wenig komfortabel. Service super. Frühstück sehr gut. Meer vor der Türe! Toller Pool. Poolbar etwas teuer. Alles in allem, ein schönes Hotel! "

"Die Einrichtung ist gut und das Personal sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Zimmer sind ok. Die Betten waren für uns etwas zu weich. Das Hotel ist stark auf All Inclusive ausgelegt. Die meisten AI Gäste bleiben an den Pools, in der Nähe AI Bars, denn am Strand gibt es nur eine Bar gegen Bezahlung. Für uns positiv, dafür waren mehr Liegen am Strand frei. Die Bars vom Hotel öffnen erst um 10.00 Uhr und der Kaffee aus dem Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht wirklich genießbar. Für B&B bucher ist ein Mietauto zu empfehlen, wenn man in guten Restaurants essen möchte. Insgesamt waren wir mit dem Aufenthalt zufrieden und wir können das Hotel weiterempfehlen. "
