Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present “Caledonia Bay Lookout”! This home sleeps up to 6 guests.

Explore the wonders of Pacific Grove from this “home away from home” that’s within easy walking distance of the beach, local parks and downtown dining and shopping.

The pet and family-friendly 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath residence is just steps away from spectacular Lovers Point, the Pacific Grove Natural History Museum and other local attractions, including Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Links, Point Pinos Lighthouse and Asilomar State Beach.

Beautifully remodeled with modern conveniences and Americana designer touches throughout, the 2000-square-foot home is in the heart of Pacific Grove’s city park network, and is right across the street from Caledonia Park, which includes a tots’ play area, climbing equipment for older children and picnic tables.

Guests enter down several brick steps to the front door, which opens into a foyer that provides access to the first floor and the garage.
The three-level home provides plenty of space in which to gather or to find quiet, private time throughout the space.

Living Spaces
The main living areas are on the second level which features an open floor plan blending the family room, dining room and kitchen, ideal for gathering the whole family together.
The beautifully decorated living room with gas fireplace, local coastal artwork and seashell lamps has slip covered sofas and a 46-inch HDTV. This spacious room with lofted ceilings is a wonderful gathering space.
The family room offers a cozy seating area with a gas fireplace and comfortable upholstered furniture, adjacent to the wooden dining table with seating for 6 and a marble-topped bar area with beverage refrigerator. Doors from the family room lead to a balcony with a gas grill and outdoor seating, a perfect place to watch the sunset.

Kitchen
Between the living and family room spaces, the kitchen features Italian-made cabinetry, and high-end stainless steel appliances that include a six-burner Wolf gas range, a farmhouse apron sink and marble counter-tops.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
On the third level, Bedroom #1 is a suite that includes a California king bed, a large closet, full-length mirror and an en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a shaving mirror, a separate deep soaking tub, dual vessel sinks and custom tile work and peeks of the bay from upper-story windows. Please note that there is no door at the top of the stairs, so this bedroom is audibly open to the staircase and lower level.

Down on the first level you will find two bedrooms that each have doors that open onto a brick patio on the side of the home. These bedrooms share a hallway bath with a vessel sink and tub/shower combination with custom tile.
Bedroom #2 has a queen bed.
Bedroom #3 has a twin day bed with a twin trundle that can sleep 1-2.
A half-bath is located near the living areas on the second floor.

A laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer is available in the lower level hallway.

Front and back yards are landscaped with succulents, flowers and citrus trees.

The garage has space for one larger vehicle or two small vehicles, with additional parking available on the street. A ChargePoint Level 2 EV Charger is available for guest use. Bring your cable and adaptor.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

Lovely home, great location!

My family and I had a great time at this property. It was perfect for our family. Great walking distance to beach and downtown Pacific Grove. Property is great if you’re traveling with a pet, as there’s a park across the street and a small fenced in yard in front of the home. Only thing that we wish we would have known in advance is that there’s only one TV in the home.

Family Birthday Celebration

This trip was very special as we were celebrating our Mom's 80th birthday. As my parents love the California coast, Pacific Grove was the perfect place for this joyous time together. The house was just as we expected, we gathered together on the second floor where the kitchen and living space to share laughs over meals and watch our sports team. Another treat was the house was walking distance to several delicious restaurants that we enjoyed over our stay. We would recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy the Monterey and Carmel area. Wonderful Cottage for Monterey and Big Sur

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Caledonia Bay. Property was very spacious with a huge family room, good size kitchen and dining area, along with 3 ample bedrooms. It was well cleaned and stocked with necessary essentials. Location is close to perfect, about a 5 minute walk to the water and downtown. Big Sur, 17 mile drive, all close by The price point while a bit higher than other properties, is well worth it if you value size and location. If we find our way back to the Monterey we would strongly consider staying here again

Amazing Home Amazing Location

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Caledonia Lookout - what a lovely home! Exactly as described, open and airy and amazing location! 2 short blocks to the fabulous downtown area with cafes and amazing restaurants, 2 even shorter blocks to Lover’s Point Cove and amazing walks on the bluff - sea otters everywhere! Highly recommended, can’t wait for our return visit

Great location, very nice house perfect for our family getaway. Especially enjoyed the coastal walk (1.2 miles to aquarium in Monterey) and being close to restaurants in Pacific Grove. Beautiful home in a beautiful town.

There were 5 of us that stayed in this beautiful home. We were participating in the Big Sur Marathon and this location and home worked perfectly. The location is walking distance to lover's point which is relaxing and beautiful with good restaurants. The main drag of lighthouse Ave with shops and restaurants is only two blocks up up from the house. Everything inside was clean, they left wine, cheese, and crackers, it was lovely. I had to contact them because we set off a smoke alarm with the steam from the shower and maintenance was fast and extremely helpful!! Overall, great stay and we would definitely come back!

Great place for a work retreat

This house was great for our company's working retreat. Three of us stayed in the house while others stayed at a B&B within walking distance. We held working sessions in the large living room, and cooked one team dinner in the kitchen and on the grill on the balcony. Very comfortable and a great location.

A block from the shore and a quick walk to shops and restaurants, this is a great house with a big comfy living room and nice kitchen and dining setup. Playground you can observe from the deck is awesome for families! Would love to stay here again.

House was better than advertised. The location was perfectly situated between Lighthouse Ave and the ocean. The home makes you feel like you’re in a tree house. The family room is especially comfortable. Easy check in with wine and cheese. Only thing to note is that there is no door on master bedroom (it’s on the third floor). We would love to stay here again or at another property managed by this group.

Top Notch in So Many Ways!

The house, location, amenities and high-level of engagement from the vacation rentals team was top notch. A wide array of kitchen utensils for cooking and grilling, more than ample supplies of paper products for kitchen and bathrooms, a short walk to the water/beachy area, a short walk to the center of Pacific Grove ... everything was "top notch" and we would stay here again for sure.

Way to do the Big Sur!

My friends and I came up for the Big Sur Marathon weekend and we all enjoyed and loved our stay. Overall, the property was clean (save for a few ants but no biggie) and all the amenities worked well. We had enough of everything so no complaints. I have to commend the staff for being super responsive. For instance, we had a bit of issue closing the patio doors but figuring it out was as easy as reaching out to Barbara. Thank you for being super responsive. Also thank you for accommodating out late checkout - it is much appreciated. Overall, I give this an place and the staff an A+++ and will surely stay here again if we ever return. It definitely is the best way to do the Big Sur Marathon!
