Although elements of this critique present a few takeaways, it's important to give some context to anyone who's reading this review.In terms of the accommodations featured at the Village at Palisades Tahoe, the advertised standard and premier suite room categories are poignantly articulated online. Considering the room type reserved was a standard one-bedroom view suite, it's reasonable to conclude that the primary focuses were on economy as well as having scenic mountain views.The Village at Palisades Tahoe offers room categories for all travelers. From its hotel room-like Standard Room to its beautifully renovated one-of-a-kind Premier-plus Three-bedroom Suites, there's an option for everyone. In this case, a renovated premier one-bedroom view suite would've been a more appropriate fit. If given an opportunity to discuss the plethora of room types available with front desk management while you were on site, an alternative would've been arranged such as a room switch to a premier suite.We would concur that the Marriot's Ritz-Carlton is a lavished resort; however, it's a thirty-five-minute drive from Highway 267 to Olympic Valley. Most notably, for a weekend stay in May, the same room type via the Ritz-Carlton is well over a hundred dollars more per night. Even though the two resorts have many similarities, Palisades Tahoe continues to be highly sought-after vacation destination for avid skiers, athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and families seeking to experience the unmatched geography, location and convenience of ski-in/ski-out.Although your experience was subpar, receiving constructive feedback is integral.
