I did not like getting charged 3000 yen extra for 24h gym access in a 5 star hotel. I only booked this hotel bcs of the gym and was a bit underwhelmed when I found out there’s an extra fee. The service was exceptional. The ladies at the reception were very nice and welcoming !

If possible, chose the Executive or Club-Floor, which is called “Premier Grand”. It is well worth it. The club-lounge offers spectacular views over Shinjuku. Breakfast there is without the huzzle and buzzle of a regular breakfast place in such a big hotel. And the complementary afternoon tea and evening cocktails made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was spacious, comfortable and has been recently renovated. The best feature however is the hotel-staff: Friendly, polite, service-oriented and at the same time far from being obtrusive. We definitely will choose it again!
