Admittedly, I booked the wrong Double Tree, not realizing Newark had two and my visit was primarily to attend a concert in town. My room itself was nice, clean, and very spacious, and the bed was very comfortable but definitely in need of some maintenance especially a broken/fiddly lock on the balcony and some outlets that weren't working - which I let the staff know of so they could fix them. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. It was incredibly noisy though - it might have just been where my room was located, which was on the same side as the indoor pool, but that meant that people of all ages yelling and having loud conversations didn't lend to the most restful environment. It also isn't close to many public transport options, just one bus stop. There was a complimentary transport shuttle, which was very nice, and right off the freeway so reachable by ride share, but not the most convenient location for my visit.
