North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Mid-City has a pull that's hard to explain until you're in it - the rumble of the streetcar four blocks away, the smell of chicory coffee drifting through an open window, the easy rhythm of a neighborhood that feels both lived-in and alive. This three-bedroom home puts you right in the middle of it, with space for six and a private patio waiting for you at the end of the day.
 
Living space
Inside, natural light moves through the rooms and settles into a living area built for comfort. Sink into the sofa and stream your favorites on the 50-inch HDTV with Netflix and Roku, or pull out the board games for a slower kind of evening. The electric fireplace adds warmth on cooler nights, and a dedicated workspace with a door gives you a quiet spot when you need to catch up. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep things comfortable no matter the weather outside.
 
Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms, three beds, and two full bathrooms give six guests room to spread out without bumping into each other. Each room comes with room-darkening shades, extra pillows and blankets, clothing storage, and hangers - everything in place so you can actually settle in rather than just camp out.
 
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is stocked and ready to use - Whirlpool stainless steel gas stove, Whirlpool stainless steel oven, Whirlpool refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, cooking basics, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, and a baking sheet. Start mornings with the Keurig coffee machine and gather around the dining table for proper sit-down meals. Whether it's a big crawfish night in or just coffee before heading out, the kitchen can handle it.
 
Bathroom
Both bathrooms are fully equipped with shampoo, Zoologics conditioner, body soap, cleaning products, and a hair dryer. A bathtub is available for longer, slower evenings when the city's done with you.
 
Outdoor living
Step out to your private patio and let the evening slow down around the fire pit. The single-level layout and private entrance make it easy to come and go - and the driveway holds up to three vehicles at no charge. Free street parking and a paid garage nearby round out your options.
 
Laundry & essentials
A free in-unit washer and dryer mean you can pack lighter or stay longer. Bed linens, towels, iron, and a first aid kit are all provided, along with smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and a fire extinguisher throughout the home.
 
Location
Four blocks to the streetcar. A 15-minute walk to Caesars Superdome. Trader Joe's, University Medical Center, and Lafitte Greenway all close enough to reach without a second thought. Whether you're here for Jazz Fest, a Saints game, Endymion parade, or just to eat your way through the city, this address earns its place.
