Eine einzigartige Übernachtungslocation. Beeindruckende Architektur, tolle Ausstattung. Wir hatten die Suite Mirella. Auch der Service vor Ort durch die drei super netten Damen ist sehr gut. Das Frühstück wird immer frisch zur Wunschuhrzeit zubereitet, wenn man etwas anderes möchte einfach Bescheid geben. Die Suite Mirella liegt leider zu Straße und durch die dünnen Fenster und den Altbau ist es doch sehr laut abends und nachts. Das sollte man berücksichtigen. Die anderen Zimmer liegen auch zur Straße. Ansonsten kann man das Hotel/Unterkunft wirklich nur empfehlen! Vielen Dank.

Rare accommodation in the first level of an old palace, feel thrown back in glorious old times. We had a room on two levels. Partially old furniture in connection to the house, partially modern furniture. Instead of bath towels you get a bath robe. Tasty breakfast was brought to the room. Parking in the courtyard. It was a special experience. Very friendly and helpful staff, we have appreciated that. Herculaneum in 7 minutes walking distance.

Die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr authentisch, man hat das Gefühl, man schläft in einem historischen Schloß. Die Klimaanlage ist sehr leistungsfähig. Gute Lage unweit von Napoli, Pompei, Sorrent und Amalfi.

Villa Durante ist eine sehr tolle Unterkunft. Die liebe Sara hat uns toll umsorgt und uns auch bei diversen Dingen geholfen. Bei der Unterkunft trifft außen pfui und innen hui ganz gut zu. Zuerst haben wir gedacht, wir sind am falschen Ort und dann die absolute Überraschung. Das Frühstück war der Hammer. Einzig einen Punkt Abzug, weil die Klima quasi nicht funktioniert hat, weil der Raum zu hoch ist und die Schlafmöglichkeit oben war. Wir kommen absolut gern wieder, wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Lage ist auch super.

Best long weekend location ever
This an awesome place! Villa Durante was probably built in the 17th century. The "hotel" is not taking up the whole building, but just a part. This part has been beautifully renovated. Really well done! The service is excellent!!! We asked them to organize a driver to pick us up from the airport, which worked very well. Outstanding breakfast! Fruit, croissants, eggs, a cappucino to die for, toasted sandwiches and on an on. All served in our room. The owner of the Villa Durante also runs an excellent restaurant across the road. Very tasty food and good wines. Ask the hotel to make a reservation. (And ask for a table in the "back" room, where the locals eat. We sat in the front room to the left. Nice but other tourists ;) Location is excellent to walk to Ercolanu Scavi (the historic site) and two train stations to go to Naples or Pompeii. Trains run every 30 minutes or so and it is about 10-15 minutes walk to the stations. All in all one of the best long weekends ever!!! P.S.: did I mention the view on Mt. Vesuvius?

The room was beautiful, but the facilities are lacking a bit. The hot water ran out while I was running a bath, and there was no extra toilet paper and things just felt kind of spare. But I think you are paying for the extraordinarily beautiful space, which is very much a treat to be in. I found check-in and check-out confusing, but feel like my confusion was no fault of theirs. Breakfast was nice and served by the loveliest, friendliest woman. It was not quite what is pictured on their website, though. Not much to do around it, but I was also there on a Monday when it seems a lot if closed. It was definitely a beautiful, beautiful space.

Theresa really made our stay! Despite the language barrier she went all out to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. Such a lovely friendly girl. Her breakfast was beautiful! In such incredible surrounding. This villa is stunning and so well preserved. Amazing library and artwork. Also, if you can, do eat in their restaurant across the road, Michelin recommended I believe and absolutely deserving of it.

Wonderful place to stay
Villa Durante was wonderful. The room was modern where you want it, yet kept the old-world ambience. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was needing to carry our suitcases up the uneven stone staircase to the main hotel door.

The staff at the Villa Durante were outstanding! They were professional, friendly, helpful and made us feel so welcomed. The family suite was spectacular; the entire Villa was a testament to days gone by and made us feel like we had been transported back in time. A delicious breakfast was delivered to our room. The Villa is a very short walk to the Herculaneum and various restaurants and outdoor cafes. Staff at Villa Durante made a dinner reservation for us at Lo Re and our experience was superb! We highly recommend the Villa Durante and cannot say enough good things about the lovely ladies running this establishment.

Our short stay at villa Durante was a beautiful experience from start to finish. We arrived at a very humble front entrance and was treated by the lovely Valentina. She escorted us up the ancient stairwell to the front entrance of Villa Durante…the doors opened and the magic began!!!! I felt transported, back to the renaissance era. The beauty of this palazzo has to be experienced to be believed…. although the pictures on the website do a good job of sharing the exquisite rooms. The lovely and gracious Theresa, had our breakfast beautifully laid out for us at the dining table, at the very early am, as we requested. The breakfast was delightful and plentiful. The location…. steps from the Herculaneum ruins… and proximity to old Naples was perfect for our stay (20 min by car, local Transit makes it great location) In all… if you enjoy history and beauty Villa Durante, and their staff will not disappoint!! We stayed here because we went to Ercolano Scavi. Only 2 restaurants within waling distance and the Pizza place was good. Room is better in person than even in pics. Some items in disarray and broken (like mirror, etc) but our overall stay was amazing. The Breakfast... no words. Blew us away with the amazing food and presentation.

Villa Durante is a magical place to stay. The staff is extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful. The facilities are gorgeous and historical. I felt like royalty staying at the Villa! The Herculaneum ruins are a 5-minute walk, so this is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the ruins. In addition, they arranged our transportation to Pompeii, which is only a short 20-minute drive from the property. It was such a pleasant stay here, I would highly recommend it for a one-of-a-kind experience!

The door is easy to open from outside, but not easy to lock from inside. The breakfast is good. You can request milk. Easy to park since it has own parking spots, maybe only two since there are two units. I am not sure. The staff is nice.

The receptionist was very helpful and guided us to a very good pizzeria in the area. The room was smaller than I thought it would be but was comfortable. What a spectacular stay!!
Within seconds of meeting Maurizio we knew this would be an excellent stay. The whole family are fantastic--very personable, eager to help any way they can, and incredibly accommodating. Breakfast was spectacular with endless choices, and the property! Oh my what a spectacular villa. We had the suite and the views of the bay at sunset, the incredible vaulted ceilings and the amazing furnishings and decor were absolutely stunning. I do hope it wil be available on our next trip, what a fantastic stay!!!

This is a beautiful property. We stayed as a family of 4. The staff were amazing, breakfast very good and it’s a walk to Herculaneum. You need to call before you arrive to get in and have a parking place inside. We recommend Herculaneum before Pompeii as a visit so you see the better preserved first. For those that don’t mind a short drive and the real grande experience. The bedroom is fantastic.
