The Coddage #5 is a two-bedroom, two-bath second row condo located 0.7 miles north of Garden City Pier and across the street from public beach access. This condo features a fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a microwave and dishwasher, a washer, dryer, and central heat and air conditioning. Three smart TVs (48-inch in the living room, 24-inch in the bedrooms) and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king and one queen-size bed, plus one twin-over-twin bunk bed and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Outdoor amenities include a balcony. Parking is limited, and space is tight. Truck access may be challenging. Please consider this when planning your vacation. Limit one parking pass. Dog-friendly. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants, Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.
If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.
Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.
Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina, and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.
Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

Very nice, clean, comfy condo! Beds comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Nice beach scene artwork too! And our Doggy was welcome. The porch was great but not in the rain! Condo was great!!Parking a little difficult. Horry Co does not allow Shimbumis so we had to rent umbrellas which was disappointing.

Overall we had a wonderful time. We had a slight hiccup when we first arrived but it was handled immediately and the cleaning supervisor was absolutely wonderful! She came in and addressed all the issues with the condo being improperly cleaned.

Our biggest complaint is the T V did not have cable. Would not rent again because of that. The drive way needs work bad or asphalt.. inside could not believe they did not have an ironing board. That’s is something very hard to bring. We had to spend $30.00 to get one. And iron is easy to bring, but not a ironing board.

This condo was completely redone which was great. Also our small dog was allowed which was our main need. The owners had thought of everything renters could possibly need. The downside was that the dishwasher was broken which we didn’t realize until we’d eaten off the dishes that appeared to have been run and were in the dishwasher when we arrived. We found out three days later when we tried to run it that the water was turned off. The washing machine had a squeaky gear which made us afraid to use it. The coffee maker was missing a part and leaked coffee all over the counter. And the disposer had a leak which fortunately, we saw and so we stopped using the disposer. The area of the beach was crowded but the beach was beautiful. This small condo is perfect for two people and a small dog.
