The guy at the front desk was kind of rude to my daughter because she was talking with some friends in the hallway that she met at the hotel and the lady the next morning at the front desk when we was checking out I had to load money on my card and was acting like my daughter couldn’t wait in the lobby until are Uber came

Couple of comments - first, the door seal in the pool area (that goes to a stairwell with access to the outside), leaked, making the pool area cold. Secondly, while breakfast was offered, they ran out of a lot of hot food items and the juice machine ran dry. The staff needed to be notified by customers when things ran out and they didn't know how to properly refill the juice machine. Other than those items, the hotel was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.

We stayed at this location on Dec 22nd as well as the 29th during our holiday travels. We noticed the facility seems a bit run down. Ice machines out of order, carpets in disrepair, etc. the rooms are clean but FREEZING upon entry. We turn the heat to 80 for multiple hours to get it comfortable enough to sleep, only to wake up overnight to adjust it back down to the 70s. I understand saving resources by not preheating rooms but man, 65 is cold! Staff is lovely. No complaints there.

I had a couch in my room, but it was cloth and stained and I was afraid to sit on it. Most things I read said there was free breakfast. Not true, but they do have breakfast you can buy and Starbucks Coffee. Coffee in the room was horrible. Bed was hard and I had a lot of traffic noise. Oh and I think I had an extremely low toilet. Felt like I was sitting on the floor each time I used it. I will be moving on next time I go to Madison. I believe the property is a 2 star and that's what they are. Just moving on to 3 or 4 stars next time.

Avoid this hotel.
The floors in our room were sticky. The carpets in the hallways were dirty. The room was so small it felt cramped. I do not recommend anyone to stay at this Americinn.

Smelly
The hotel as a whole looked very run down. Our room had a strange smell to it, as did the AC/heating unit. The door entering the building (keycard use) was broken, the glass was shattered on the bottom half. Having stayed in other Americinns throughout Wisconsin, we were very disappointed. Saying the hotel was gross is putting it nicely.

We had to call from the lobby to have someone come to the desk to check us in The desk clerk could not look up our Wyndham award account on her computer system. Did not seem to know the system very well. Some painting and improvements going on and I was a bit nervous about our room but fortunately the room was clean.

The pool was nice and clean as no one seems to use it! The rooms come with a fridge and microwave. There are lots of shopping and food options near. I was referred here by UW Vet Care as the property accepts pets ($25 fee/per pet). The hotel needs some work. -Bed is noisy, hard, and uncomfortable -Walls are thin, so you can hear EVERYTHING -Felt unsafe as doors were propped open and the front door did not lock until well after 9 -There were legit maybe 10 people staying there, yet the room was not ready until 2:30 ish -I stayed in room 112, the AC was partially off the wall, the bathroom vent was semi-dangling from the ceiling
