The location was right off the interstate and a road that featured many impromptu drag races. The room we were in featured the worst hotel bed I’ve ever experienced.

There was very limited parking. There was no shampoo in the shower. There was no ice machine. The clerk didn’t offer any other rooms.

Our property is a newer Motel 6 and is undergoing maintenance in removing the shampoo/conditioner filters from the showers as it is not apart of Motel 6 franchise guidelines, however, there are amenities available for all guests per request available at the front office. Also, our property does have an ice machine on-site. Front desk is available 24/7 for any questions and guidance. Lastly, in regards of parking, our property does get busy during the weekends, additional parking is available, again with the assistance of front desk staff, they would be guide all guests if anyone is having trouble with parking. There was scratched etching and gang names on mirror, hair, food (oatmeal) and debris in bed on toilet and around floor. There was a cut in the quilt on the bed. They do not use a fitted sheet nor tuck the flat sheet being used as a fitted sheet. We heard hund shots during the night and yelling in the early hours as we were leaving. It worked as far as the place to lay my head down for 3 hours before getting back on the road but definitely wouldn't book here again by choice.

I needed to extend a stay for a tenant that was there for repairs in their unit, the individuals at the front desk stated that they couldn't extend the stay and that Motel 6 had a 3 day maximum stay policy and that they did me a courtesy for the 5 day stay. Nothing in Motel 6's policy does it state this 3 day maximum. In addition I have no idea what they are referring to "this courtesy" as I booked this through Expedia. I regularly make reservations for tenants who we have to temporarily relocate due to repairs in their units. But this property will no longer be an option for us.

We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the property's policy. Please keep in mind that each Motel 6 is individually owned which means each property has their own set of policies. Our property has a 3-night stay max policy, however, this past weekend our property did extend and allowed a 5-night max stay due to the long weekend holiday that just passed and was only reflected for this past weekend. The tenant/ guest you booked for did share her appreciation towards our friendly staff and property and complimented on how wonderful her stay was here at Motel 6 South Gate and completely understood the property's policy. Thank you again for sharing your feedback, and hope this brings some clarity regarding the property's policy.

I did not like the customer service and by the hidden fee of 100 dollars at the time of check in. I'm a construction worker so I get off work really tired. So this was inconvenient I had already paid reservations. Never again

We are sorry you were not pleased with your experience. Our staff works hard to provide excellent customer service so I will be looking further into this matter. As for the deposit, it is mandatory for all guests for room incidentals and it is returned immediately upon check out. The deposit policy is not a hidden fee as it is stated on our hotel's website, as well as on "Important Hotel Information/ Policies" located right above confirming your reservation on expedia. Hope that you will give us another chance in the future.

The dispensers in the shower were empty. No shampoo with conditioner and the body wash dispensers had nothing. There was 2 small package of soap, which I had to use when I took my shower. The vending machine prices were reasonably priced.

Nice little hotel
The room was nice and clean. Bed wasn't too soft only thing I'd complain about is parking area is very small for the amount of rooms the hotel has. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Definitely will be staying again.

Sketchy neighborhood. Loud cars and other tenants. The towels were a joke...tiny, ripped, rough, mismatched more like a small handtowel. No shower bench or handheld shower head in the bathroom.

Hotel has recently been remodeled, gives it a fresh cleanly modern look. Still under remodeled conditions on the outside but I’m sure it will be up to par once old furniture is out of property.

Our property is still undergoing construction and we are in the process of removing the shampoo/ body wash dispensers from each of the rooms as they are not a part of the brand's requirements as it was for our previous brand. Just a helpful reminder, in the future, extra amenities is available upon request, just simply ask the front desk employee and they will be able to assist you.
