Staff trained in apologies, not in actions - they are not prepared to handle their group/crew check ins, therefore individual travelers have to wait and wait and wait. Of course, because they run you through the online-checkin just to not honor it, neither the digital key in the Marriott bonvoy app, "we don't do that, we need to check everything". Suboptimal processes, they should open a counter for individuals or groups/crews, however, it needs to be optimized. Checked out the 1st of June, were promised to get a 50% discount via the cc Expedia has on file - not yet happened after 2 weeks. Why? 1st room: extremely moldy smell, "wet" flooring. On requesting another room, we were asked to stay in a King instead a 2 queens one - no. So we got the room next to the previous. A bit lesser smell, still moldy smell, had to be sprayed every day (...that's just to cover up the reason for it, isn't it), door to the room hard to open, really needed a hard push, wear/ tear of furniture, not nice, though asked daily, no refill of the conditioner. Did they have a water leakage as the hallway had to be blown with a big dryer/vent? Really an unprofessional impression and for sure below Standard for the chain as in comparison with other hotels in this price range. Had the feeling, that individual travelers were aligned those rooms in the "old" part of the hotel, the not standard one, whereas the groups/crews all went to the new West tower. Be aware, the 50$ pN parking lot is uncovered.
