Kein Hotel für europäische Gäste
Wir waren 4 Tage in diesem Hotel und wir hatten das Superieur Zimmer mit Meersicht. Das Hotel ist aussen mal renoviert worden, aber innen ziehmlich abgenützt. Das inbegriffene Frühstück ist auf malaysische und arabische Gäste zugeschnitten und schmeckte uns überhaupt nicht. Wir gingen jeweils bei Mc Donalds oder bei Kentucky Fried Chicken zum Frühstück. Das ist billig und schmeckt. Insgesamt kamen wir uns vor wie in einem arabischen Land. Die meisten Frauen der Gäste trugen Ganzkörper Schleier (Burka) welche Sie auch beim Baden im Pool nicht ausziehen. Der Pool ist das einzige was wirklich Spass gemacht hat in diesem Hotel.

Für kurzen Aufenthalt geeignet
Das Deluxe-Zimmer Executive kann man empfehlen, es ist sehr schön ausgestattet, hat viele Ablagemöglichkeiten im Bad und auch im Zimmer, das Bett ist breit und bequem. Das Hotel an sich ist sehr hellhörig, da alles offen gestaltet ist. Die Lobby ist auch offen und so weht immer ein angenehmer Wind durch. Das Frühstück ist in einem geschlossenen Raum, nicht für jeden westlichen Geschmack geeignet, da hier viele Asiaten und Araber wohnen. Das Personal hat Schwierigkeiten das Buffet auf dem Laufenden zu halten, so fehlt immer etwas. In der Nähe des Hotels gibt es Minimarkets und asiatische Restaurants.

Hotel liegt abgelegen zu den Touristen Points
Das Zimmer mit der Aussicht auf das Meer war sehr gut. Das war es dann aber schon. Auf das Frühstück habe ich verzichtet: kaum Auswahl; vieles wirkte nicht sauber. Und es war sehr, sehr laut - eher rießige Kantine denn Restaurant. Internet wird angeboten, aber es hat so gut wie nie funktioniert. Immer hieß es, es sei ein Telekom Problem... Da ich mit meiner dort gekauften SIM Karte immer gutes Internet hatte, war mein Eindruck eher der, dass das Hotel für die vielen Gäste gar kein Internet anbieten konnte. Es sollte wohl gespart werden. Schade, dass es diese zugesagte WI-FI Leistung nicht gab. Außerhalb der Hotelanlage ist es schmutzig, tlw. sehr schmutzig. Zum Cenang Beach dauert es mit dem Taxi ca. 30 Minuten.

Dayang Bay Resort exceeded my expectations! I requested a high-floor sea view room, and to my delight, they upgraded me to a stunning room on level 6 with a breathtaking view of Maha Tower. The view was truly unforgettable. The staff's excellent service made my stay even more enjoyable. Pro tip for future guests: If you can, aim for a sea view room on the sixth floor. It makes a huge difference!

Nice hotel with excellent views location is very quiet. Staff were very friendly and always helpful. Only issue was limited dining options and the breakfast which was often served cold and the coffee was awfull

Overall this hotel was lovely. Staff were fantastic ,friendly and helpful. Swimming pool is very beautiful. Location was perfect for us and our family room was excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

The property was nice. Unfortunately, the overall service was terrible. After check-in, upon entering the room, the door lock wasn't working. Then Air-condition was leaking and making terrible noise if I increased the Fan. The toilet door-lock wasn't working properly. I was with my family along with my infant baby, hence I spoke with the Front Office Stuff in the evening with all the concerns i had and requested for the Duty manager to speak to me which also was not communicated and i did not receive any response from the Duty Manager as well. The breakfast spread was absolutely not rich and with most guests that i spoke with shared their view about how horrible their breakfast spread was. Being an X-Hotelier myself, at the end of the day the service matters even if the property has technical issues, whereby staying in Dayang Bay they definitely were successful to give me a horrible memory on my vacation to langkawi.

The kids pool was great for my 6 year old, good dining options around the hotel and a convienient 7/11 across the road. The rooms were clean, however we had so many tiny ants so couldn’t leave any food or drinks out, opened or unopened. Would stay here again as it’s good value for the cost.

Stay was pleasent, hotel service and staff support, room condition, swimming pool were good. Location wise, it's in middle of attractions (which means need 20-30 mins taxi to go to airport , cenang beach, mangrove tour point, skybridge etc) , but having enough shopping, food options near by walking as well. Overall great experience.

I arrived at 1pm but the staff didn’t allow me to check in, telling me all the rooms are occupied and I asked him “are u sure” but he didn’t say anything. Later on when I checked in, I asked him for an ocean view room, he said no with same excuse all the rooms are full. And no one helped me with luggage even i carried 3 pieces in hands with a big luggage. Facilities are outdated

Not worth it, Old and need maintenance
Check in was ok,, Room safe is not working I called several time to come and fix it, until I checked out no one showed up. Lots of ants in the room, ironing and laundry room are far from the actual rooms. No water inside the room you are required to fill water from outside which is totally unconvinced. Buffet breakfast has a limited choices it does not accommodate foreigner taste.

I highly enjoyed my stay at Dayang Bay Resort. The location is quite convenient as there is a 7-11, a minimart, places to eat just opposite of the resort. There was gym, a daycare, and spa on the resort itself which me and family enoyed. The room was spacious enough for us. However, there were some stains on the towels and toilet but we weren't too bothered by it as the rest of the room was very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would recommend this resort.

Beautiful pool and view, nothing else right
First I'll acknowledge that the view is absolutely stunning and the children's pool is perfect for the little ones, with shade on the slides in the morning and late afternoon. My two toddlers loved these slides. Upon check-in, our luggage was loaded onto a trolley and we were given key and directions to the room. There we waited for our luggage. And waited. And waited. I went downstairs after a while and our luggage was on the floor, next to the concierge's desk, who watched me pick up all our suitcases and head to the lift. Our room had no towels so when I went downstairs, I asked reception for towels. "Sure, we'll send them right up!" We headed to the pool, thinking the towels would be there waiting for us after. No. I had to call reception and ask again. Breakfast buffet isn't good, with nothing fresh. The children's club is closed (probably Covid related- understandable), but the babysitting services advertised on Hotels.com do not exist. The sofa bed is incredibly uncomfortable and we could barely sleep, especially given how much light and sound the doors let in. We actually ended up leaving the hotel two nights before we were supposed to, to find a hotel where sleep was a possibility and food was decent.
