Family Vacation

What a lovely experience from start to finish. We were able to access the property 5 hours early. The owner allowed us to use the movie theater and game room, even though it wasn't a part of our original booking package. Beautifully modeled home that was the perfect mixture of modern and cozy. The two queen size bedrooms were large enough to accommodate a family of four; including a blow up toddler air mattress and pack n play. The spacious shared common rooms, made for great areas to lounge and unwind after a day of exploring Lake George. There were plenty of storage closets, and the home came furnished with starting supplies. The location of the home was close to all the things we had planned: outlets, steamboat company, shopping in town, the great escape. Quick drives to each location. The property manager was very friendly, and easily accessible, getting back to us and answering all our questions quickly.

Great House but VRBO Didn't Disclose ongoing Construction

The house overall was very nice and the proximity to the lake was just what we needed. It was very clean and we enjoyed the open floor plan and the part of the house we had access to. It's just unfortunate that the photos and description of the house didn't show that the entire lower part of the house wouldn't be available to us because it was being renovated. The permit posted on the sliding door indicated that the permit was issued in April (3 months prior to our arrival) ... plenty of time for someone to post updated photos and a description of what my family could expect (maybe reached out to me). My family likes to make use of the yard and based on the photos we saw online we planned on being able to be able to walk out of the lower level to use the back yard. There is a very steep drop in the property when walking from the front door to the backyard and we didn't get to enjoy the back yard as we wanted to. Getting drinks, food and the bathroom meant hiking back up the hill to the front door which was a big inconvenience. When the construction is completed, I'm sure any renters will really enjoy the house and all it has to offer, I just wish that the people at VRBO had disclosed all the details of what was going on at the house before we committed to book it.

Very nice home

Overall the house was beautiful and brand new. all the amenities were brand new. it felt like we were the first people there. The house was pretty much stocked with what we needed however I would make some suggestions on some added Pantry items as basics. The location of the house was okay in relation to Lake George however it was off a pretty busy street. The backyard still needs some work which I assume is still a work in progress. There were some minor issues such as the remote for the TV didn't work in one bedroom-battery dead, no batteries anywhere; the noise in the house from doors opening and closing was kind of a nuisance at night and it seemed the ac turned off at night in side bedrooms. Lastly parking says for 6 cars but 3 seemed to be max. But my family enjoyed the home and would stay there again.
