THINGS TO KNOW

-Dog friendly: 1 dog , weighing 25 lbs or less, welcome in this home for an additional fee. Small to medium non-shedding breeds only. Must be kenneled when unsupervised. No other animals are allowed without specific Coast approval. Please contact Coast Vacation Homes to inquire.
-Basic Beach gear provided (beach chairs, beach towels).
-Home is located on a busier surface street. Please note that it is about a block away from to a middle and high School and can get quite busy during drop off and pick up time
-This home, like many coastal homes, is NOT equipped with AC. There are portable fans and ceiling fans in each bedroom to help move the coastal breeze.

This home is located in a high-density neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. There is a no tolerance policy for excessive noise, occupancy, illegal substances, parties, or smoking. This house was perfect for our stay in La Jolla. The 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms were a plus as well as plenty of off street parking. The house was very clean and had a very nice backyard area. Close to stores, restaurants and the beach. I’d like to stay there again in the future.

Property was an excellent location. We were able to walk to downtown La Jolla. Very convenient for the entire San Diego area. Property manager was responsive, the house was clean and there was a nice outdoor area for grilling and enjoying outside. We would stay at this house again.

Booked this property with some out of town friends to enjoy a long weekend escape. The pictures do not do this property justice! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor space was well appointed. The location was perfect: close to the beach, near a cafe and several shops, walking distance from the cove, and provided easy access to freeways. The dedicated parking was much appreciated as off the street parking was scarce. The host was very responsive and provided clear communications. Check-in and out was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Needed a 3 bed 2 bath house close to my sister’s La Jolla beach house and also close to Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church. This house was perfect and met those needs. We are from San Diego but needed to be in La Jolla for 3 days of family events. We only used the house to sleep and shower. Speaking of shower, the hot water took an unreasonable amount of time to heat up. So much water wasted just to get a decent temperature. San Diego water rates are the highest in the country. Water heater either needs to be replaced or modified by a plumber. There is no reserved hot water at all. One more suggestion: 1 ply toilet paper is suitable for public toilets/outhouses, not for a La Jolla beach home. I paid a premium rate because I needed a La Jolla home, and my expectations were for normal toilet paper. One ply toilet paper ends up costing you more than 2 ply, for the simple math of having to 2-3 times as much to have the same strength of a 2 ply. Pros: location, cleanliness, off street parking Cons: lack of hot water and outhouse toilet paper.

Owner checked in often and was quick to respond to questions. Located in an optimal location for easy drive to all of San Diego and walking distance to the best beach in San Diego. I highly recommend Coast Vacation Homes.

Overall it was a fantastic stay. We loved being walking distance to a wonderful beach, with great waves. The only reason I wouldn’t give this a perfect score is due to the outrageous fees attached to the property. I felt like the nightly rate was misleading. We cross referenced and the housing fee was WAYYYY higher than the average…. Which in turn made the VRBO fee higher, and then increased the total tax. There wasn’t anything that stood out as to why the House Fee was higher than comparable properties. The communication between the property manager and us was great, the only thing that was a little unsettling is, when we arrived it was a little warm and two of the fans were not working. We told the property manager and they assured us that the cleaning team makes sure that the fans work before they leave. We took a video to show that there were two broken fans before replacements were sent. That in a way made us feel like we needed to tiptoe around the property. We felt it necessary to take pictures of any slight damage to the property, off the get go. We would always take care of any property we stay on, but we really felt the need to be as delicate as possible.

The house was perfect! This company responds right away and the house is super clean and has everything you need. The beach is a nice 7min walk and the house has a ton of beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and sun shade. This was the best vacation my family has had in a long time! Definitely coming back next year!!!

We loved the quick walk to Windansea Beach. It was nice having beach chairs, towels and umbrellas to use. Hanging out on the patio in the evenings with the fire and grilling up our dinners was lovely. Thank you for a memorable stay.

My partner and I absolutely loved our time here! We felt right at home & had everything we needed at the house. We stayed for a month & the management was always just a text away (although we really didn’t need to reach out much). Our favorite part was the location—we were less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and an easy walk into town. There’s a local grocer less than a block away that we went to constantly as well! Our dog loved the back yard & it’s also a great place to have a coffe & read in the morning. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things!! We were so sad to leave & cannot wait to stay again :)

We live in La Jolla but had to relocate because our house is renovating. We were 3 adults, one teen and one dog (husky), each one got accommodated in one of the four rooms. Our dog loved the backyard, played a lot in there with his ball. Very well located, we could walk around the beautiful neighborhood, trails, and to the beach. When we arrive all windows were open, lights and fans on, very inviting. It was very convenient to have four parking spots in the property, as each one of us had a car. We would love to stay there again.
