Das Essen ist hervorragend, jeder Gang wird genau erklärt (teilweise sehr amüsant für ausländische Gäste: es gibt vorbereitete Phonetische Zettel um alles perfekt auf Englisch vorzutragen, was meist doch nicht ganz gelingt). „少し奥地にはあるが、その分静か。フロント周りの時間は時が止まったかのような、昭和の文豪がゆっくりしているような非常にリラックス出来る。最小人数で営業されているのかスタッフの人はあまり見かけないけど本当にゆっくりできました。 食事（夕食）は絶対につけるべきです。給仕さんがすごく良い方でした。“

„Okuhida Hot Spring Hirayukan is conveniently located, just a short and easy walk from the Hirayu Onsen bus terminal. „Großzügige Zimmer (allerdings länger nicht mehr renoviert), sehr schöner Onsen. Sehr freundliche Rezeption, allerdings ist der Service etwas unflexibel. Es wird eine kleine Barkaution verlangt, die man beim Auschecken leicht vergisst - am besten für die Kaution eine Quittung geben lassen!“
