When I booked this property, the listing described it as âEntire Home â Apartment with great location and off-street parking in the heart of Broad Ripple.â It has since been updated, but at the time, I wasnât aware that it was actually a basement apartment in the hostâs home. That said, when we arrived, the host kindly met us and explained the setup, which wasnât a problem for us.While one previous review mentioned a basement smell, we didnât notice that at all. Occasionally we could hear footsteps from above, but since we were out most of the day and back late, it didnât really affect us.The host was very friendly, helpful, and responsive to any questions we had. The main reason for the 4-star rating is the bedroom setup: one room had doors, but the second sleeping area was more of an open space with a partial divider and no door, located right next to the bathroom. This made it difficult for the person sleeping there when others needed to use the bathroom during the night. I think it would be more accurate to list that space as an open sleeping area rather than a full bedroom.Overall, a decent stay with a great hostâjust a few listing details that could be clearer for future guests.
