Exactly as described in the listing. We had a lovely stay. The room was really nice and the bed super comfy. The lack of sound proofing was as expected, but we did feel we had to be extra quiet. Just something to be aware of.

Our Appalachian Trail Adventure

Having never been to Harper’s Ferry, we research the town and read great reviews about The Guest House. We booked the Goldfinch Room for 4 nights. The room was beautiful and had all the necessities we needed for the week. Comfortable bed and chairs, huge walk in shower, and perfect location right across from the Appalachian Trail Conservancy Headquarters. We could hike the App Trail right from our room, walk downtown to shops and restaurants, it was an ideal location. We highly recommend The Guest House, we will definitely be making another trip back here. Thank you for a spectacular stay!!

Great spot for checking out fall leaves with an easy walk to town and some hiking trails. FYI though- ice cream joints close early when it’s not summer. Even if their websites say otherwise.

Great stay. Beautiful room and upgraded bathroom. Close to everything especially by car. Long hill to climb if you're in town and walking back to the place. Found parking by the train station.

Great anniversary getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at The Goldfinch and are looking forward to visiting again sometime! The property was clean, had off street parking, and was located close enough to Lower Harper’s Ferry that we could walk to eat, shop, and enjoy the historic area of the park. We were also able to walk to hiking trails. We were thankful for the light breakfast and water bottles left by the host. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quaint getaway.

Second Time Here

This was our second stay at this location and it did not disappoint. The owner was so easy to deal with and very accommodating. The room was lovely and stocked with everything you could need and more. Bottled water, coffee pods, yogurt, juice, snack bars, trail mix and cereal. More than you’d get at any hotel but with much better accommodations. Off-street parking is a plus! I would give them more than 5 stars if that was possible. Thank you for a wonderful stay ❀

Great Location - Perfect Host

We booked this stay hoping to be able to walk wherever we needed to go and this location didn’t disappoint. Great location, very clean, off street parking, friendly host. We walked all over and never needed a car. The room was as described and exceeded our expectations. There was even a Keurig in the room with coffee pods, sugar and creamer. The host even provided cereal, milk, snack bars and yogurt. The mini fridge even had ice provided for us. No detail was left undone. Would def recommend and stay here again if in town. Perfect and close to everything

The room was exactly as described- clean and comfortable with a great breakfast nook stocked with coffee, juice, and yogurt. Less than half a mile to the beginning of the Maryland Heights trailhead and close to places to eat (the Rabbit Hole is a great place to end your day and one of the only places open after 8pm). I will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic stay

What a fantastic stay in the heart of Harpers Ferry The property was fantastic, and the host extremely helpful. We very much enjoyed being able to come home to a clean beautiful room with all the amenities we needed after spending the day, hiking or on the river the added bonus of the EV charger really sealed the deal for us. I would highly recommend staying here again if you're going to Harpers Ferry, this is the place to go.
