„If you want to unplug a bit and get away this is the place. Very clean cabins. Kitchen had everything you need. Nice sitting area outside with a grill. Very quiet and relaxing with the Yuba River right there. Staff were extremely nice. Our dogs our now depressed we came home. Pretty sure they thought it was our new home. “

„Had a nice stay here over the weekend! The staff is very friendly and quickly accommodating to any needs. The lodge is tucked away in a quiet, but not too secluded spot, so it’s very easy to find, yet is in a safe area & away from any busy traffic. The highway is just up the road, but the road noise gets muffled a bit by the forest between - very nice! I’ll stay here again for sure if I’m in the area.“

„This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. „A gorgeous historic hotel centrally located to shopping and restaurants. The hotel bar and restaurant were excellent. We opted for the King Studio and had a nice sized room. Others in our party had small rooms with queen sized beds. We will definitely will return. “

„This is the largest, and probably best hotel right in Nevada City, on the main street. But it is far enough from any live music venues not to be bothered. A beautifully restored/refitted old brick nineteenth century hotel. I would definitely stay there again in Nevada City. That said, it does not have 21st-century innovations like TV or swimming pools! But if you want old-timey Gold Country charm, I recommend it. The hotel restaurant is good, too. And the staff was professional “

„I had checked out this hotel ahead. they gave me a newly refurbished room, it was quiet and clean. Its a short drive to downtown. I didn't walk it but i believe you can. I was attending an event at navada fairgrounds in grass valley it was perfect just 10 mins. “

„This property is really a hidden gem of a hotel. The rates are very reasonable and the area around the hotel is beautiful. The property even has a natural waterfall and a fern grotto which is extraordinary. The rooms are older but very clean and well maintained. Also the beds are very comfortable. The room also has a small refrigerator and microwave. All in all this is a place you should really consider. I know i would definitely come back. “

„My fiancé and I took a last minute trip and this place was perfect. Freshly renovated, we booked the room with an open ceiling. I could tell it was newly remodeled just by looking and smelling. The nice young woman who I believe is the owner was very gracious and accommodating. It’s walking distance to old downtown which has plenty of restaurants. The parking lot can be a little tricky due to the design and space. I highly recommend this quaint inn and hope to make a return visit. “
