The parking at the property was an additional cost to the room rate and we were advised in a later email that we must book and pay for space in advance. It should have been advised at the time of original booking. We did book ahead but the car park wasnt even undercover!

Regards to parking there is an automatic email that all guests receives soon after booking is made. In our website and agents websites under the parking section will also have the price that we charge, On the other hand we also inform that there is free parking on street from 5:30pm to 9am and usually it is free to park on street the full weekend depending where you park. The hotel is in a good location 15 min walk to the foreshore. The beds are comfortable if you like a soft bed. This is a hotel for a basic 1 or 2 night stay. There is no smart TV. The bathroom is small particularly if more than 1 person staying in the room. The parking is disappointing. It is outdoor parking not secure and should be Free! It is expensive for outside car park and if you dont leave by 12pm you will be slugged with a $5 fee Plus $ 5 for every hour or part of beyond 12pm. The reception staff told me we could stay until 1pm before the fees kick in maybe the staff need to check up on the policy before giving info to guests. If you need a convenient hotel for a couple of nights it will do the job

Nice hotel located close to everything Geelong CBD has to offer. Short walk or drive to the water. Rooms were nice and big. Only downside was the queen size bed. Plenty of room for King size bed. Bathrooms clean and tidy. Second time we’ve stayed there. Well priced.

Great location and close to the main street and action. Hotel was quiet and room spacious. Would have been nicer if the food and beverage offering was available more while we were there. No dinner on Sunday or lunch during the days for some of our stay. Food and drinks when we did order were great. We had small children visiting us and they loved the pool. Staff very accommodating and hotel good value for money. Will stay again if we are back in Geelong.

I booked the room I did for the included buffet breakfast and it was terrible. Most of the food was too cold to eat and when we advised the bar staff of it, they simply said it was not their fault, it was the kitchen, without even offering to go tell the kitchen about it. Not sure if they wanted us to head on into the kitchen ourselves and tell the chef! One waitress was very rude when we did ask how we were meant to heat up the waffles as they weren't allowed in the toaster machine and just felt the need to tell us we'd be charged $2,500 if we put the waffle in the toaster. I have stayed here twice before and never had such terrible service and rudeness of staff. When I told the front desk staff about it she just said oh we have new staff on today, must be their fault I'll talk to them. Did not even offer to give us a refund on the breakfast or anything else. It was terrible. The room was tiny for four adults and the bathroom was ridiculously small. I guess maybe I'm used to a better quality of motel but when I pay in excess of $450 a night for a room with breakfast included I expect to have more room in the bathroom, it definitely felt like it would be lucky to call the room a 3 star hotel room and the breakfast abbout 1 star.

We have stayed at the Rydges many times. The hotel is always is a neat condition but I do object to the payment for parking at $28 per night and the breakfast costs are too high. The one thing that they need to address is the condition of the towels etc. They are thin and old and need to be replaced. Bedding is okay just the bathroom stuff.

The breakfast was $32 per person and it was the worst I have ever had with very few options for the price we paid. A broken coffee machine and a very long queue for limited options. You could pay the same in a 5 star hotel in Melbourne CBD and it would be 100 x better.

Superb stay!
Close to almost everything in Geelong, clean rooms, comfortable beds, very helpful staff in every department, excellent buffet breakfast and even the gym had the basic equipment for a good workout. The only facility we haven't used due to bad weather was the swimming pool. We give this hotel the thumbs up!

We found everything very expensive after paying a substantial amount for our room them we had to pay $27 per day for parking which isn’t even under cover. Dinner was nice but $55 for a small steak plus an extra $10 for each vegetable was a bit much. Probably would not stay here again
