I honestly felt so welcome from the very first moment from the hotel manager Jitu and his lovely team - like staying with kind friends rather than in a hotel.
The room and bathroom where both clean and everything (also air-condition) functioning very well.
I especially appreciated that all the furniture was made of solid wood, with each piece thoughtfully selected and designed - you can really feel the attention to detail that makes this a true design ...

„We stayed at the marina bay Beach resort in early September, so the prices were very good and the beaches of candolim almost empty. The hotel is located near to the main road in candolim, which means you can reach everything easily. Exspecially the chef sohan is really nice and helpful.
Tip: rent a scooter and drive north along the beaches.“

Breakfast is really good, food also, eventhough there are lots of restaurants in walking-distance where you get delicious food and drinks for way less money. Beach not more than 5 min. walking distance. Shops, market and doctor also in walking distance. I only can recommend this hotel!“

„Very clean rooms and hotel facilities. Breakfast selection very good. Disappointed with bar drinks and snack/dessert choices (lack of!). Also it was as only after 3 times of asking for hand towels in our rooms that we were finally given some face cloths instead. This was resolved on day 3 when we finally got some hand towels.
There was live entertainment one evening by the pool but this was poorly communicated so very little attendance. This could have been advertised around the hotel better. “

Als Deutscher ist man schon echt überfordert mit so viel Service kennt man halt so nicht.(Servicewüste Deutschland Kunde kommt rennt schnell weg) Jeden Morgen kommt der Besitzer zum Frühstück und redet mit den Gästen sowie auch die Angestellten. Kein Wunsch bleibt offen. Als Willkommensgruß gab es eine Torte aufs Zimmer. Da mein Mann zufällig Geburtstag hatte gab es ein Kuchen und von den Angestellten ein Geburtstagslied. Das ist schon einzigartig. Bislang hat das kein 5 Sterne Hotel in den wir sonst waren jemals von sich aus getan. Die Zimmer sind schön groß das macht den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Unter anderem gibt es 3 Pools eine schöne Dachterasse wo man Abends essen gehen kann. Die Preise sind dafür sehr angemessen und von bester Qualität. Für uns ist es das beste Hotel in Candolim."

The breakfast was delicious with the great variety to chose between indian and continental breakfast or omlett.
The manager was always there for me whenever I needed anything, and even the owner of the two hotels (I also spent some days in the sister hotel @Mela-Half, nearby) took the time to make sure I was doing well - that meant a lot to me.

"Wir waren enttäuscht! Ich verstehe die guten Bewertungen nicht. Der Schein eines exklusiven 5Sterne Hauses ist nur ein Schein, sehr matt, nicht glänzend. Die Nacht für Indien war teuer und dem, was geboten wurde, nicht angemessen. Das Badezimmer war ok, aber schon in die jähre gekommen. Im Flur sammelte sich das Wasser, was bedeutet, dass feuchter Dreck/Matsch ins Zimmer getragen wurde. Die BettBank und eine kleine Chaiselongue waren voll mit flecken und abgenutzt, wirklich ekelig und selbst als Ablage wollten wir sie nicht nutzen. Zudem gab es Zwischentüren zum Nachbarzimmer und die Nachbarn waren so deutlich zu verstehen, als wären sie in unserem Zimmer. Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer war ansonsten gerade befriedigend, aber der Poolbereich war sehr dreckig. Die Liegen waren jeden Tag voll mit VogelScheiße und die Handtücher sahen aus wie aus der Mülltonne gezogen, dreckig, fleckig und alt. Eid war wirklich schlimm und unsere Ansprüche sind verhalten normal, nicht penibel. Das sollte man aber eigentlich in so einem Haus und für das Geld erwarten. Für das haus und die Kette ist es eine absolute Blamage und der Gast bekommt als einzige Message mit auf den Weg, niemals ein weiteres Haus dieser Hotelkette zu buchen! DANKE NEIN!"
