Ideal family, mountain getaway. You will love your stay at Northridge Nest, a spacious ranch-style home, that sits on a large lot in a quiet, established neighborhood with wide open spaces and dramatic views of the continental divide. The interior of the home has been remodeled with a new kitchen, and all three baths have been renovated. New carpet and floor coverings were added throughout in 2015. We also listen to guest recommendations and have added screen doors to both sliding doors in the house, and replaced wifi modem to be more efficient and high speed.
Property highlights:
Game room, featuring a ping pong table, bar and television and table, in garage is a family favorite! Kids can be entertained for hours while adults can enjoy the relaxing views. It’s a wonderful place to make memories. Owners continually update furniture, paint, linens and dishes to keep the home feeling clean, comfortable and modern. Updates are made every year! Home is professionally cleaned, top to bottom, in between every guest.
Bedroom highlights:
The rooms are tastefully decorated with quality linens and furnishings. Every window has mountain views! Wake up to elk in yard surrounding the property. The master bedroom features a king bed, with private full bath adjacent, featuring two vanities. Bedroom two also has a king, with a shared ¾ bath. The third bedroom is exceptionally large, with two queen beds, and a private full bath with double vanity and a large walk-in closet. Walk in closet is large enough for pack n play or extra storage. In addition there is a queen air mattress located in the closet.
Kitchen highlights:
Ideal for cooking a large holiday meal, the updated eat-in kitchen has new cabinets and fixtures, and is well equipped with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, crock pot and cooking utensils. If you read the reviews the home is complimented for being the “best stocked kitchen”. There is also a dinette set that seats six, a bar with two stools, and a formal dining room with seating for eight. The kitchen has an electric range/oven, over the oven hooded microwave, refrigerator with cold water and ice maker, and dishwasher.
Outdoor area:
The large patio, adjacent to the kitchen, has a gas grill, 2 sets of table and chairs, and an awesome 360 degree view of the continental divide. Grilling a meal outside is a must during summer months!
Living Space:
The living room is large and open with a portable gas fireplace, a large sofa and chair, so the entire family can watch the new Sony 46” High Definition TV, Satellite High Definition DirecTV service, with local, sports and movie channels, ROKU-Netflix movie library with 300+ movies and High Definition Blue Ray DVD Player with Pandora Radio and NETFLIX movies. Board games, DVD movies, books, and many other extra comforts of home are included.
Accessibility:
There is an expansive feeling in the house because the rooms are all so spacious, and with the exception of five steps at the front entrance and two at the back, there are no stairs.
Amenities:
High-speed wireless internet is provided and a large desk is provided in case you need to conduct business while on vacation.
There is a laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer as well.
Extras for families with kids include a pack n'play and high chair.
The oversized garage even features a ping-pong table!
This home is convenient to Estes Park, only a mile from the eastern edge of town, just off Highway 34, on a paved road. There are nice views of mountains from every angle of the yard, and deer and elk frequently congregate on the lawn.

Communication was very good. I received check-in instructions before arrival date. All questions were answered timely. The appliances are old. The size of the home was excellent and inside was clean. The yard has obviously been neglected. The windows were very dirty so it was not possible to get good pictures of the beautiful elk in the yard daily. There is no air conditioning and it was hot every day. All of the blinds were in terrible condition. One of the blinds disintegrated when I moved it to open the window. The thermostat was displaying a heat warning because it was over 80 degrees in the house. Most of the screens were missing. The sliding door to back porch was hard to open and so was the screen. There was carpet all over and I am not a fan of carpet in a rental. With some attention to these details it would be an excellent rental

This property is completely neglected!! Numerous broken blinds, windows, heavily soiled carpet, shower curtains that don't fit, missing light bulbs in every room, 2 broken sliding screen doors, broken drain plug in bathroom sink, broken toys in the "play garage" and missing trains in the train tabel, washing machine makes a very loud high-pitched scream, the yard has not been managed for years with trees growing out of the driveway and front walkway. . Couldn't open most windows at night to cool off the home because either the blinds were shattered or the window casing stops were broken. Really all-around disgraceful presentation

We (three senior couples) travelled from Texas. Karine answered her phone on the first call and explained the house, layout and area. Although we were a little early, Karine welcomed us and granted access. This made for a very nice first impression. The house is as advertised, large, spacious and provided two separate living rooms which was nice. There were large TVs in every room… again NICE! The kitchen was extremely well stocked to even include chop sticks. The only issues were the window blinds damaged by previous guests, that Karine informed us about so we would not be surprised when we saw them. The sliding screen door could use a little work, but that was only minor. All-in-all.. two thumbs up! Or in the group’s case… six thumbs up.The patio provided a gas grill and two separate tables with chairs for relaxing. The neighborhood was very quiet and provided beautiful views of the mountains. Close enough that the three ladies walked down to the lake which connects to the river through Estes Park.

Stay was not bad. The property looks a little neglected with some regular maintenance. It was very hot over the weekend and without air conditioning using fans required opening windows. Most all window blinds are broken. Many screens missing from windows. One sliding door completely not functioning and the other the screen door was not working. Grill provided was half working and never had to use a butcher knife as a steak knife.

Great space but some things need attention

This space was great and 6 adults had plenty of room. But there were many little things needing fixed or updated, and that kinda put a damper on the space. Many broken blinds, windows, neither back sliding door would close appropriately, screens off windows/doors and laying outside on the ground, a stove burner fell in when trying to cook, ice maker doesn't work, never found any oven mitts. My husband also found a small leak under the sink when looking for other supplies. None of these things were really enough to ruin our trip, but still had to deal with them.

Nice but needs some work.

The space on this property was the nicest part of the stay. The property is located on the edge of Estes away from the hustle and bustle of town, which we loved. The rooms are big and the three bathrooms were perfect for the 6 of us. The property is old and needs a lot of maintenance. Only half the windows stay open as many of the springs won’t hold the windows open. None of the doors have screens that work properly and many of the windows don’t either, which was problematic because there is no AC and the house requires these features to stay cool and keep bugs out. All blinds need replaced and none of the curtains are size correctly for the windows and doors. The hot water heater is old and if more than one person is showering at a time it’s hard to get enough hot water to the master bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked but the stove needs all the burners replaced. Overall, it was an ok stay but the inconveniences with some of the maintenance dropped the experience.

Overall, the house was in a great location in Estes Park. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of space for bigger parties including activity/game space in garage. Downsides: Carpeting is old and stained, blinds are broken in various rooms emitting morning light, bed in master is sagging and pillows could be updated.

2 night stay. Home was very clean and appeared just like the pictures. There was plenty of room to stretch out. We did call maintnance once because we didn't have hot water. They never called back, but we saw we overloooked instructions in the manual to the fuse box to turn on the hot ater heater and all was good. We brought steaks up to grill but ended up cooking inside- Grill could use an update. Overall, nice place to visit Estes Park. Kitchen was fully stocked and all amenities were great.

Perfect layout for three couples

The house was very spacious, beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very useable with decent pans and great kitchen table. The bedroom layouts were great. The only issue was the house temperature when we got in at 4pm was 45 degrees. It took three hours to warm up.

Great house for families

The house was very clean. Plenty of room and things to do provided. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes ,glasses, cookware and utensils! My family was very comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting the national park as well as restaurants and grocery store. A unexpected and fun group of visitors also came with the rental. A herd of 19 elk visited every day!!
