„The hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. The staff are excellent, particularly in the FYR restaurant: friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is equally impressive and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. “

„The pub is situated in peaceful countryside and is in a great location. The proprietors were so welcoming and kind, helping me to my room with my luggage. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated and the bathroom clean with nice toiletries. The food in the pub was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would certainly stay there again if I’m in the area.“

„I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. “

„Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good, ...

„Mark was very accommodating and my room was really big and comfortable Water pressure very good for having a shower I only stayed 1 night but I know the area very well and the guest house is a short walk from most places in town but quiet and peaceful guest house location Penrith is a beautiful picture postcard town and very handy base for traveling to the Lake District I will certainly be booking again I didn’t stay for breakfast but the menu look delicious “
