This Hotel is old by fine. However in the older part of the establishment the accommodation is quite poor. For example a bathroom with a toilet that doesn’t quite flush and zero ventilation is not good enough. Broken tiles and dirty towel rail. However the beds are clean very comfortable and the staff are great. Breakfast is excellent

The hotel room was the worst I have ever stayed in! It’s clean but the furniture is cheap and possibly not changed since the 1980s. The lighting is even worse! My room was on top floor and when it rained, you heard every single drop hitting the roof. There is no thermostat and you have to set the heating at the radiator which means if you turn it low for the night you wake up to a freezing cold room. The bathroom was just awful. There is possibly no insulation in the partition wall and you can hear person next door moving, speaking on their phone, etc - I would not recommend staying there.

A flying visit to the Lansdowne as it was convenient for Wanderers RFC ground. Dropped bag at hotel at 10.30am as room not ready, as I expected. Checked in later in eveningvatv6.30pm. Quick and easy. Had food in ‘the Den’. Very nice. All staff friendly and helpful.
