The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome as soon as we entered the lobby. The room was awesome & comfortable. I would definitely stay again when we visit the Altoona/Des Moines area.

I have never been treated so rudely by a front desk staff person. The worker didn’t look up from the computer and paper he was looking at nor did he greet me or say “just one moment”. After standing right in front of him for a minute or two I walked out and contemplated going to another hotel. I walked back in and he slowly stapled papers for another 30 seconds before saying “checking in?” He still didn’t greet me and never said thank you or anything. He was so rude and unfriendly. Not typical for hotel staff.

Staff was very friendly, room was average our only disappointment was, our understanding from Expedia website was that we thought the room we booked was with a "Lake View". It was NOT, we got a real great view of the parking lot. Not to mention the room was considerably cheaper, by the day we actually checked in, so nothing like adding insult to injury, No view and we paid more!!!!

This place was amazing! New clean and the bed was so comfortable having awesome pillows! Lovely white sheets and bedding. Plenty of nice white towels, hand towels and washcloths!!! Great shower products and hot water! It was a piece of Heaven as we drove to and fro from Michigan to Colorado! Best place I’ve stayed over night in a very long time. Including where we stayed in Colorado for a week. Thank You so Much!

Great and friendly service. Caring people
These people were so nice. We were stranded here in the blizzard and they let us stay indefinitely until the snow stopped. Somebody even helped to get my car out of the snow!

The property is new and clean. It's located right by the interstate and a couple nice restaurants. Other dining options are close, but you'll need to drive. There was an awful livestock/manure smell that permeated but it's not something they could control. We stayed once during the summer and the smell was not there at that visit. It was noticeable and strong but was fine by the next afternoon. My only real issue is the front desk calling about 45 minutes before checkout to see when we're leaving. That seemed odd and like we were prompted to move along. She was friendly about it, but it seemed awkward and made us feel pressured.

Very clean and in a newly built building. Staff were welcoming. I appreciate being able to get one room for my family of 5 at an affordable price with a good hot breakfast included. My teenager slept on the pull out couch. The mattress looked thin but she had no complaints. Hot cocoa, tea, and coffee were always available in the lobby. The pool and hot tub were a great bonus. Near the highway but we didn’t notice noise from that, the hall, or neighboring rooms at all during our stay.
