This property is located in the heart of downtown Des Moines with quick access to almost anywhere downtown.

Parking is not included but affordable parking garages are directly south and west of the complex right across the street! Metered parking is also available around the unit.
Guests will enter into the main lobby and take a short elevated ride up to the cozy condo. Inside the unit features a full kitchen, dining area and breakfast bar, dedicated workspace, living room with smart TV, 2 bedrooms both with smart TV`s while also having access to shared spaces such as a community area with games, 24/7 fitness facility and rooftop lounge with dog park/relief area.

This is a downtown space and apartment complex and while it`s not particularly noisy you may hear other tenants or cars outside occasionally.
Guests will access the condo using a lockbox located outside of the complex that stores a set of keys and fobs. Please keep track of the keys at all times. Lost keys or fobs will results in a fee of up to $200.
The front door utilize a ring doorbell that records audio and video 24/7 for guests safety and security.
This unit is part of a beautifully restored historic building, where all 100+ units feature the original sealed concrete floors. These floors naturally show imperfections, variations, and markings from the building’s history, which are part of the intentional “industrial loft” style of the complex. This design choice gives each space its own distinctive and authentic character.
**Pet Policy** Dogs are welcome, but they must be included in your reservation at the time of booking. To add a pet, put the number of pets in the search option next to where you select the number of guests. The pet fee will be automatically applied to your reservation when included this way. Please note, if an unregistered or unpaid pet is brought to the property, the fee will be doubled.
** ADDITIONAL FEES ** $75 pet fee (Taxes and platform fees are added automatically on top of our pet fee) 1. Smoking and drug use are not allowed inside the unit or in the hallways of the building. This includes vapes, weed, or other illegal substances. There is a $1000 fine if discovered.
2. Parties are not allowed in this property, including loud music. There is a fee of $1000 if a party is discovered or if a neighbor complains about excessive noise. Quiet Hours: 10pm - 8am.
3. There is a $50 fee per guest per night for undeclared guests.
4. Pets must be disclosed and approved in advance. Unregistered pets are subject to a double priced pet fee.
5. If an excessive mess is discovered after your stay, you will be charged accordingly on top of the standard cleaning fee.
6. A lost, missing, or damaged key, fob, or parking permit has a replacement cost of $75 each.
7. Check-Out Policy - Standard check-out time is 10:00 AM. Late check-out is not guaranteed and may only be available if there are no same-day bookings or scheduling conflicts with our cleaning team. If you`d like to request a late check-out, please inquire the day before departure. Requests made earlier will not receive a confirmed answer until that time. A fee may apply for a late check-out.
8. Check-In Policy - Standard check-in time is 4:00 PM. Early check-in is not guaranteed and depends on same-day turnover and cleaning schedules. If you`d like to request early check-in, please reach out on the day of arrival. We are unable to confirm early check-in prior to that day. A fee may apply for early check-in.
9. Everything in the home is inventoried. We will charge for any missing or damaged items.
10. Any cleaning issues must be reported within a reasonable time of check-in so that we can help resolve any issues you may have.
11. We do not allow packages/mail to be sent to the address you’re staying at. You may deliver to a local FedEx/UPS. We cannot help you to retrieve delivered mail.
12. You are booking with a valid government-issued ID and are not engaging in fraud or identity theft.
13. There is 1 security camera pointing at the door entrance. Blocking or disconnecting this device will lead to immediate termination of your stay with no refund.
14. Firearms and weapons are not allowed inside the unit or in the hallways of the building. Bringing a firearm onto the property will result in a $500 fee and may lead to immediate cancellation of the reservation without refund.

Such a convenient home base for our Des Moines stay! We were in town for my husband's high school reunion (go TRHS Roughriders!), I-Cubs game with family, and the Iowa State Fair. The Loft was perfect size for two couples. Large primary bedroom and bath upstairs and comfy second bedroom and full bath on the main level. We were very happy to have laundry available in the unit to run a quick load after a few HOT days. We also greatly appreciated the great A/C - not always easy to control in a loft with big windows but we were nice and cool day and night.

Location is nice. People are friendly. Easy check in. Unfortunately the place could be cleaner. We found a few food bits in the corners of rooms. Couple of stinky towels left in the washer that never got washed. Even if you want to clean yourself the only thing provided is dish soap and a sponge. For a cleaning fee, it was a bit disappointing, but overall the stay was nice. Nobody bothered us. Host checked in quite frequently via message. Appreciated that he did his best in making us comfortable.

Inaccurate but serviceable
This sleeps 4, not 5, as neither of the sofas is a sleeper as listed. A small person can comfortably sleep but anyone too broad or tall would need an actual sleeper. When I pointed this out, I was offered an air mattress, but that's not what the listing says it provides. I also asked ahead of checking in for clarification on whether both sofas were pullouts since only one sleeper was listed and they looked identical in pictures. That question was ignored until after check in. Parking being "affordable" is inaccurate as that's subjective and should be listed in full. Unless you want to risk street parking (still metered), parking is 1 an hour. At best that's 24 a day, and with 2 vehicles for 4 nights, that was a 200 added expense.Saying you might occasionally hear neighbors is a huge inaccuracy as well, as having any neighbors in the adjoining units means clearly hearing everything they say and do. You'll find yourself whispering because you know they can hear everything you say too. It says after getting off the elevator and turning towards the unit, there are 5 steps to go up. There are 8.If the above could at least be spelled out clearly for potential customers, some people might be okay, but arriving to experience it all unaware made it a miserable stay.

Beautiful Comfortable Space
Great space and location. Dan is an excellent host and ready to help with any need you have. It is quite a walk around the floor and up a bunch of steps to get to the unit. If you’re bringing groceries or a lot of bags be prepared. Parking is convenient to the space, across the street and with sky walk access on one side. If you’re a wine drinker be sure to bring your own glasses, there are only shot glasses, martini glasses, tall water glasses and coffee mugs. Also no options for recycling.

Nice place. Great location and communication
The property was as advertised and in great shape. Perfect place for downtown Des Moines and good communication from host on checking in and out. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that outside of the loft and the first floor bedroom it could have used some auxiliary heating due to the cold. Since it was january a lot of cold air gets in through the window which isn't the fault of the host but just be prepared. We would use it again despite this.

A great first impression of Iowa!
A friend and I visited Des Moines for the weekend and Dan made the process as easy and smooth as possible! Fantastic Rental
This loft was convenient and a great place to stay during a long swim meet weekend. The directions were spot on, the place was incredibly clean and well outfitted, and the host was immediately responsive to any questions we had before, during and after the stay.
