Moss is one of four mirror cabins at Luminary Resorts @ Hilltop—an Asian Zen retreat with a different mood than the rest. Inside, everything leans darker and quieter: matte black accents, charcoal tile underfoot, and soft shadows that make the space feel tucked away. It’s made for couples who want to slow down, close the curtains, and let the outside world go still.

★Location & The VIEW★
Hilltop is a rare lift in East Texas—an elevated pocket where the horizon opens and the river valley stretches out in layers of treetops and sky. From the glass walls and the deck, you’ll watch light move across the forest and feel the pace naturally soften. Birds ride the air currents up here, and when you want lake time, Lake Livingston’s boat launch is just 3 minutes away for boating, fishing, and easy days on the water.

★Inside★
Moss is intentionally simple and moody—clean lines, darker tones, and a calm, grounded feel. The queen bed is dressed with luxury bedding for deep rest, and the room stays quiet on purpose: fewer distractions, more space to breathe. When you want full privacy (or a midday nap), dark blackout curtains pull closed and the cabin becomes a soft cocoon.

The seating area is made for slow moments—coffee in the morning, a pause between swims, a conversation that doesn’t need an ending. Put on a playlist through the Marshall speaker, pour something warm or cold, and let the cabin settle into that hushed, end-of-day calm.

The kitchenette is compact but well-composed—curated dishware and glassware, an induction cooktop, and a Nespresso machine with frother for unhurried mornings. The bathroom keeps the same sleek, minimal feel: a spa-like rain shower, a modern smart toilet, and plush Luminary towels that make everything feel a little easier.

★Yard & The Deck★
Arriving feels private right away. Bamboo and layered fencing create a courtyard-like yard that blocks out the world and lets you land softly. If you drive an EV, you can plug in with the Tesla charger (J1772 adapter provided) and forget about the rest.

Then the deck opens wide—clean, open space with a long view across treetops and the valley. The 18’ x 9’ pool (4.5’ deep) sits at the center, ready for floating, cooling off, and doing absolutely nothing for a while. The grill faces the panorama so cooking stays simple—fresh air, good food, and the view right in front of you. Across the pool, lounge chairs invite slow afternoons and quiet evenings.

As the light fades, Moss gets especially still. The sky softens, the valley turns darker, and the string lights come on with a gentle glow. It’s the kind of night that naturally becomes unhurried—one more dip, one more deep breath, then back inside to warmth, quiet, and sleep.

Other things to note
★Parking★
There are plenty of parking spaces. 2 -3 cars can comfortably on the dedicated parking spot and on the driveway.

★Trailer / Boat Parking★
You can park a trailer by either side of Snowhill Rd. There is plenty of space for trailer parking.

★EV Charger★
We have Level 2 EV charger in the parking area. It is a Tesla charger with J1772 adapter.

★Pets★
We do allow pets during your stay with us. There is a $50 flat one-time fee (not per pet). The fee is issued to our cleaners to apply additional procedure for the next guests. You must notify us at least 1 day before arrival and pay the pet fee prior to getting the lockbox code.
