We were not told at the time of booking through Expedia that the owner will require a deposit after booking and we had to Venmo half a grand for a deposit before they would give us booking details including address , gate codes, key codes. we checked out on 7/24. It is now 8/1 and I haven’t got my money back. We are still waiting on our deposit back and are being told we need to give a review before we get our deposit back. I explained 4 days ago that part of my review would include prompt return of my deposit. I have yet to receive my deposit and requested it be returned prior to my review, but it’s been 5 days since I requested and I still don’t have it. It seems they could be working toward it, but still, having to email about it multiple times is resulting in negative impact on my review. Once I I’ve been reimbursed my deposit, I will adjust my review as merited. Parking in the area is outrageous. We had to pay over a couple hundred for 1.5 days of parking and still had to uber so had uber costs on top of parking costs. If you are budgeting you need to make sure you account for very expensive parking and a deposit that is not explained or advertised in the post. The place was beautiful, well kept, and I did appreciate the prompt responsiveness and communication until it has come to getting my deposit returned. The place was left exactly or better than how we got it as we barely even spent any time in it because we went to a cubs game and spent our time in downtown.
