“The Ryder Hotel” was a definite reminder that what we see on social media isn’t real. I chose this property for a number of reasons, some of which include:
-ADA Compliant Rooms, which had hand railings and a wide enough door to fit a wheel chair, but that’s pushing it, at best. The floors in our hotel room were coated with a layer of moisture which made them incredibly slick, so we had to be extremely cautious.
-Little Palm Bar/Restaurant- major let down. The drink was subpar and the restaurant menu was a literal joke. Maybe 7 things, max. To choose from.
-Valet Parking is annoying due to having to constantly depend on someone else getting your car for you. If I’m being charged a daily parking fee, that’s fine, but at least let me park my own car and get to it at my own leisure.
-Last but certainly not least, I went to the coffee bar this morning expecting to get a delicious latte. The barista attempted to perform a “trick” which failed miserably to include milk getting splashed all over the counter and myself, which was after I had just taken a shower, so it was a sticky mess. To make matters worse, he didn’t even throw out the drink that was included in the failed “trick” and gave me a cup that was sticky, leaking, and half full. Oh, it was still $8.50.
I absolutely do not recommend. Don’t believe the videos you see on Tik Tok from the many influences pumping this place up.
Totally NOT a vibe.
