HERVORRAGEND
Schöner kann man an der Westküste kaum untergebracht sein. Nicht nur der wundervolle Ort erfüllt alle Wünsche, sondern auch dieses Hotel. Die Zimmer sind groß... das Personal sehr freundlich und die Außenanlage gemütlich. Alles super!

Ruhig gelegenes Hotel
Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel hat uns gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war gross und gräumig, leider war in unserem Raum die Toilette ein bisschen ungünstig konstuiert. Grosser Plus Punkt war das Kamin. Anzahl Parkplätze eher knapp berechnet.

Nice BnB but noisy indeed. Ceiling and side walls are extremely thin and you hear everything. Our room was not spacious but actually as decribed so I cannot complain. Rooms are nicely equipped with Nespressos and minibar. The matraces at least for us where a real nightmare way too soft. We liked the location close to the shopping areas. Ocean is far away though. All in all I probably would select this hotel again although they did not do anything wrong.

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff bent over backwards to help with questions and requests. Fire pit area was wonderful to socialize at. Hot tub was great. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely property. Superb hot tub. Excellent welcome from Elizabeth at reception. Amazing Barman at adjacent Brophys Tavern. Room very nice, but strangely lacking in places to hang anything. Nowhere to hang bathrobes or wet bathing suits. Towels are at opposite end of bathroom, meaning a slippery walk across wet tile to get a towel. No room around basin for toiletries.

Overall, the hotel appeared to be clean. However, it was extremely dated, from the bathrooms to the beds. It felt more like a motel 6 than a "Hotel". Also, there were very few dining options that were close to the hotel. Luckily we were only there for 1 night. The staff were nice although they needed help as there was only 1 person working at registration. Bottom line, if you're just looking for a quick stopover to rest, this will do fine.

We were severely disappointed by our stay at this hotel. The pictures definitely led us to believe this was a much more luxurious hotel than it actually is. Our room was on the first floor, which was facing the street where construction was happening daily at 8 AM. The walls are thin and we could hear everything the upstairs guests were doing. Severe lack of privacy as there is no private patio, simply a hallway for all guests on the first floor. There is no AC. Outdated bathroom with poor water pressure. Many of the TV channels didn’t have signal. Parking is extremely limited and cramped. We had to resort to street parking multiple times. We did like the social hour with sangria and fresh cookies. The continental breakfast was nice as well. However, this is a 3 star hotel AT BEST and definitely not worth 300 nightly. We won’t be staying here again.

Hotel Carmel has a fabulous outdoor fireplace, fire pit, mimosas & chocolate chip cookies in the lobby each night, a fantastic breakfast, and a wonderful staff! Our room was very clean and the property was extremely well kept. The Restaurants and shops are only a block or more away. If you are not a walker Carmel is not the place for you. It’s hilly and most of the side walks are not flat. This hotel does not have an elevator, and there are three floors. None of this bothered us, as we love to hike. We look forward to staying at Hotel Carmel on our next trip!

Property has an excellent location and is very clean. It has a lovely outdoor lounging area with a beautiful fireplace. The continental breakfast is tasty and fresh. However, I was very surprised to see that the rooms are not air conditioned and they encourage you to open the windows. The only windows in the room open to the main walkway of the property and didn’t feel comfortable opening them due to privacy matters. What kept our room comfortable was a fan that’s stached in the closet. The plumbing fixtures in the bathtub are old and very noisy.
