Die Lage ist super, aber kein „ extended stay“
Die Lautstärke im Zimmer ist stets enorm. Bei offenem Fenster: Straßenlärm und Generator beim Pool. Bei geschlossenem Fenster: nur eine nicht auszuschaltbare Lüftung im Bad und Kühlschrank. Die Betten sind schon durchgelegen, man spürt die Federn. Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig, wir haben am Ende selber den Boden geputzt, um den Sand vom Vorgänger nicht mehr im Bett zu haben. Das Personal ist super hilfreich und nett, das beste an dem ganzen Aufenthalt. Frühstück kann man es nicht wirklich bezeichnen, es gibt nichts frisches, alles verpackt, also keine Milch fürs Müsli oder gar Obst.

Tina, please accept my apologies for your suite not being totally ready for occupancy when you checked into our hotel. We are sure this was a result of miscommunication between our Housekeeping and Front Office Departments since a suite should not be made available for occupancy until the cleaning process is complete and it has been inspected by a supervisor. I booked my mother-in-law a room here in the village so she can rest and recover from being sick. First impressions of the hotel were nothing like the photographs. Room was dirty and dingy and not updated like the photos. We had to change rooms to the more "clean" option. I had the front desk write in their notes when checking in that if they needed ANYTHING to call me and let her rest. I extended her stay 3 more nights and called the morning of check-out/check-in to make sure it would go seamless so she wouldn't be bothered and they assured me that everything was good to go. That was until I got a call from my MIL that she was harassed by the manager Eileen who banged on her door as she was getting into the shower and demanded a credit card for incidentals. When my MIL let her know that she would be down later the manager threatened to call the cops within 16 minutes if she didn't hand her her card. I'm not sure why the front desk and manager went 0-100 without looking at the notes or calling me as I could have easily drove down to the hotel to give my credit card so my MIL could rest and heal. The cops were called and my MIL felt so uncomfortable she left. This is no way to treat your guests and I hope action will be taken towards the employees involved. Terrible behavior and service.

The room smelled terrible! There was a hole in the shower, the shower nozzle was broken. In orde lr to get new towels, you had to turn in your dirty towels downstairs and exchange for new ones. There were no toiletries available. I would not recommend this hotel.

It is older than announced. The police was there before our incident. Most of the crowd at the hotel is not on vacation. I reserved here for a one-nighter for my son's soccer tournament. 1. Our room was 332, facing the freeway. There is NO way anyone can have a -decent night's sleep. SUPER NOISEY 2. Emily at the front desk made check in super easy even with the hotel going through some renovations and key card issues. There was trash still left in our fridge but room cleanliness was fine other than that. Beds were super comfy and overall I would stay here again if needed

I stayed here in January 2023, it was a very good stay. Clean quiet, however this time, there was a water leak in the ceiling and a looks like mold above the TV. The mirror was covered by the TV. The carpet was pretty stinky. I was only there for one night so it wasn’t a big deal. Oh, in the shower needed some definite TLC.

Not the worst, not the best
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights just to get away and enjoy some time alone together. After checking in, our room wasn’t cleaned through. There was hair all over the sink and cleaning supplies left out all over the bathroom. The lady at the front desk was apologetic and gave us a new room she said she cleaned herself and she knew it would be clean, which it was. She rocked. This place is in a beautiful area and don’t get me wrong, it’s not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at… but it just didn’t feel safe. You can tell there have been people living in this hotel for a while. The hallways are dark and musky smelling, the rooms are dated, there are marks all over the walls.. just overall I wouldn’t jump back up to stay here. Carlsbad itself is beautiful and we loved the town. We will be returning, just not to this hotel. Thank you all though, I do appreciate you fixing the issue with the rooms. If you cleaned up the hotel and maybe modernized the rooms, I would return.
