Sehr schlechtes WLAN im Zimmer. WIFI ungesichert! Katzenfallen mit eingesperrten Tieren um Gartenareal! Verschimmelte Kühlschränke, vergammelte Badefliesen etc., Schmutzig. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Verdient nicht die Bezeichnung 5-Sterne-Hotel! Abbildungen im Internet entsprechen nicht der Realität. Bilder stammen hauptsächlich vom Hotel Steigenberger Pyramids und nicht vom Hotel Cairo Pyramids, welches demnächst abgerissen werden soll und deshalb wohl nicht mehr viel instand gestellt wird. Im grossen und ganzen enttäuschend.

das schlimmste was wir bisher erlebt haben. 1- Nicht annähernd wie in Ihrer Anzeige beschrieben. Schmutzig (selbst nach Reklamation und 'reichlich Trinkgeld keine Besserung). Einrichtung Sperrmüll, Schiebetür des Kleiderschranks war nicht zu öffnen. Bad ekelerregend, beim Einschalten des Lichts im Bad ein lautes Brummen dazu, so dass man es in diesem 1x1,5m Bad kaum aushalten kann. Außenanlage, Lobby und Restaurant ließen zu Wünschen übrig. Alle zwei Tage musste man sich ein neues Wlan Passwort holen. Essen (Buffet), nicht sehr einladend. Obwohl orientalische und asiatische Küche gewohnt und geliebt, selbst wir hatten Probleme! Wir hatten drei Zimmer gebucht (eigentlich Motel - wir wurden in den alten Reihenzimmer im Garten einquartiert, nicht in dieses Gebäude welches man in der Anzeige sieht. Die Bilder sind auch von diesem neueren Gebäude, also nicht von den tatsächlichen Zimmern, die man dann anschließend bewohnt. Hotel, totaler Reinfall, es war ein Alptraum !!! NEGATIV, nicht zu empfehlen. von 10 Punkten eine 0

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Essen war ok. Das Badezimmer wirkte hingegen etwas alt (Badewanne, Handtuchstange fiel heraus). Eigenartigerweise entspricht das Bild der Hotelanlage auf der Seite Ihreres emails gar nicht unserem Hotel. Alles in allem wars ok bis gut.

Guter Service, schlechte Lage
Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe von den Pyramiden ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß aber weit entfernt von der Stadtmitte. Im moment sind überall um das Hotel herum Baustellen. Das Zimmer ist groß allerdings sind die Ausrüstungen alle alt. Der Service war aber richtig gut.

Tolles Hotel, in der Böhe der Pyramiden
Ich war für ein Wochenende im Hotel. Das Frühstück Buffet ist herforagend und das Hotel sehr schön. Es gibt wohl neuer und ältere Zimmer. Ich war in einem der älteren, was aber trotzdem total okay war. Bei genauerem hin sehen fällt die ein oder andere Kleinigkeit auf. Nettes Personal und super bequemes Bett.

Nettes Hotel wenn man nichts tolles erwartet
Wir hatten ein sogenanntes Deluxe Zimmer. Die Möbel waren abgewohnt, die Sauberkeit war so gerade noch akzeptabel. Von vier Nächten war der Zimmerboy an einem Tag gar nicht da, am zweiten Tag hat er zwar die alten Handtücher mitgenommen , die neuen jedoch vergessen, an nächsten Tag hat er die benutzten , zum Austausch in die Badewanne geworfenen wieder aufgehangen, keinen Kaffee und Tee nachgefüllt (gab pro Person nur einen Kaffee und Tee tgl, nachfüllen also eigentlich tgl erforderlich). Geputzt hat er ausser dem Waschraum sehr oberflächlich meineserachtens an keinem Tag. Kühlschrank vorhanden aber so vereist das er nicht kühlte. Wit hatten für vier Nächte mit Halbpension reserviert, erfasst wurden wir für eine Nacht nit Frühstück. Nach einer nicht allzu langen Diskussion wurde das geändert. Wlan Code galt auch nur für den ersten Tag, auch hier mussten wir wieder zur Rezeption. Essen war ok. Taxipreise im Hotel, dort gibt es eine Taxireservierung, unglaublich teuer, stellt aber kein Problem dar weil es auf der Strasse genug Taxis gab. Pyramiden sind fussläufig erreichbar , richtige Geschäfte sind die ersten nach ca 10-15 Fussminuten , kleinere Kioske ( für Getränke, Chips etc) direkt um die Ecke. Insgesamt würde ich sagen, es ist für einen Kurzaufenthalt ok, wenn man keine grossen Ansprüche stellt und Dinge auch einfach mal hinnehmen kann. Fünf Sterne sind es sicherlich nicht, ich würde max. Ägyptische 4 Sterne vergeben

Die gepflegte Anlage, wenn auch teilweise in die Jahre gekommen, hat gut bis sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war gut, am besten gefallen hat der Service im gesamten Bereich des Hotels. Um Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen ist die Anlage gut gelegen. Um das Hotel herum ist sehr viel Verkehr und Schmutz, die Luft ist mit Abgasen durchsetzt. Das alles weiß ich allerdings vorher, das Hotel liegt nun einmal IN Kairo/Gizeh...

Wir waren 6 Tage in dem Hotel (Standard Zimmer in Gartenpavillon). Insgesamt gepflegter Eindruck bei den Aussenanlagen. Es gibt 2 Pools, aber keine Duschen bevor man ins Wasser geht. Andererseits wird das Wasser wohl gefiltert und der Boden jeden morgen von den Windelrückständen gesäubert. Zimmer: sauber ist anders, auch wenn man "landesübliche" Abstriche macht. Pekige Schalter, Dreck in den Ecken, Schimmel, klebrig schmutzige Vorhänge. Leider funktionnierte unsere Klimaanlage nur sporadisch (bei 33° Nachttemperatur), desgleichen hatte auch die Beleuchtung Aussetzer. Repariert wurde in den 6 Tagen trotz unserer Bitten nichts. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank, aus dem jedoch zunächst die verfaulten Essensreste entsorgt werden mussten. Funktionniert hat er aber trotzdem nicht. Fernseher mit schlechter Bildqualität. Das Buffetabendessen ist überteuert, man sollte sich lieber für den halben Preis am Pool was bestellen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zahlreich, macht jedoch im Ergebnis einen recht unkompetenten Eindruck.

Das Hotel Mövenpick liegt ín der Nähe der Pyramiden
das Hotel ist sehr ruhig und sehr gepflegt. Da es in Nähe der Pyramiden liegt, wird man außerhalb des Hotels ständig angesprochen, ob man ein Taxi möchte usw... Wir raten dringend davon ab, ein Hotel-Taxi zu nutzen, da es den 2-3-fachen Preis kostet. Die Fahrt mit dem öffentlichen (weißen oder ausgehandelten Preis) Taxi zum Flughafen kostet ca 110 LE, also so 15 Euro. Essen ist sehr gut, aber Buffet-Essen sehr teuer (154 LE, also 20 Euro). Pool sehr schön aber ab frühen Nachmittag sehr viele Einheimische, die hier Badeausflug machen und ziemlich laut sind.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad. Mooi zwembad, vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk eten vooral het avondeten. Wij verbleven in een appartement in de tuin. Prachtige tuin. Het appartement zelf is wat verouderd maar alles is heel schoon. Buiten het hotel is niets te doen op loopafstand. De piramides zijn met de taxi 15 min rijden.

Perfectly acceptable value for money
Perfectly good value for money. You have to sort of put aside the "5 star" label and just consider what you get for the price charged, which was very acceptable. Room was pretty comfy although a bit tired. The garden layout was attractive, the pool good. I'd question including apic with a view of the pyramids because you don't actually get that in this hotel. The area is midst a load of work aroudn the new museum, so chaos. Might be much better when all thats completed. but it is very close to the sites (not that walking around is easy or recommended!). Staff were helpful and friendly if not terribly proactive. Breakfast was OK with a good range of choice. My only niggle with the hotel is they charge 5* prices for drinks and food but bottom line its not really a 5* experience. but for the money, i'd go back. By the way book dinner overlooking the lights and music show by the Sphinx - at sunset. very cool.

A rare find
This far best hotel I've stayed at in Egypt. Not far from Giza Pyramids. What was most surprising, is that when I requested a taxi to the pyramids, the reception didn't call some over priced service that's soul mission is to over charge me just because I'm a tourist! That is a rare quality here, and tells me that the staff are actually looking out for their customers! There is also a restaurant in the back (has a pizza oven you can watch) that serves great food, wish I could find food like that everywhere I go. You won't regret your stay here. Also, taxi's are right outside, so easy means for transportation to anywhere.

The room description clearly indicated the room would have a balcony, mini bar, and etc. The first room assigned didn’t even have any bath robe, slippers, or working WiFi. The 2nd room’s WiFi was better but it didn’t have a balcony. It had a small lanai with two chairs. Also, the facility is supposed to have Multiple restaurants, but it was barricade and couldn’t access to some restaurants and their bigger pool. Steingenburger hotel appears to have bought Cairo PyramidS Hotel and the booking made with classic rooms was placed in a bad side of the hotel without accessing the whole hotel amenities.

Negative first, because I would have given a 5star rating if this didn’t happen. Before going to Egypt we read all about the Locals swindling tourists and decided to play it safe and speak to the sky taxi/tour service on offer by the hotel. This was a mistake. The man at the desk spoke all about how he wanted to offer us the best service lie lie lie. He offered a driver who could take us to the pyramids for $13 US. We thought that was a good deal and expected to simply pay entrance fees and a fee to ride a camel if we so desired. We were told that our driver would stay with us all day, but he ended up taking us to some terrible backstreets to meet with some man we weren’t told about, who offered us a horse and carriage ride to the pyramids. We told the driver we didn’t want this, but the man became angry, making it seem like we didn’t have a choice. Being jet lagged and in a very dodgy looking area we really didn’t feel we had a choice. He offered a price of 900 Pounds each and no possibility to barter and we were sent on our way. Our driver was very unhelpful. To make matters worse, the carriage driver stopped us after the pyramids tour asking us for money and refusing to take us back to our driver without a tip. If you want to see the pyramids take an Uber and pay the entrance fee and then choose for yourself whether you want a carriage or camel. That is our advice. Remainder of the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was dated but clean. Overall good value for money.

This property looks nothing like the website, it is completely outdated. The staff are very slow at getting things done: requested iron three times, requested laundry twice. The best part about this hotel is the breakfast, that was the only thing satisfying about this place. Very disappointed.

Too hot to sleep and too noisy to sleep. No one he
The air conditioning in the main made a very loud rattle when on. It worked to provide some cooling. The air conditioning in the bedroom did NOT work. I could NOT SLEEP IN THE BEDROOM. IT WAS TOO HOT! I reported these problems but no one came to fix. Bathroom had mold growing on outside of tub and vents were very dusty. I had to sleep on cot in main room where the air conditioner there was very noisy. I reported this and I was told the room was old. So I paid for a hotel in which to sleep and could not sleep on the bed. I paid for three miserable nights. And when I asked to change my room no one could help!!

It's a beautiful setting - you can see the Pyramids if you stand at specific spots - like by the pools! The garden areas are well cared for and very pretty. Having the other 'sister' hotel is great - a newer pool and facility, is a nice balance to the older Cairo Pyramids. The concierge was not much help - and while he offered to setup a day trip (and he did)- he was always pushing for 'more-more-more' add-ons, bumping up the cost. He did not listen to what we wanted - when we finally got a 'taxi' to where we wanted to go (the Pyramids) - we were derailed with side stops that we didn't ask for - - meaning, he had 'connections' with those people to get kick-backs on what we might spend. One stop was a dirty back alley where they put on very heavy pressure to take a 'tour' on a horse and buggy to the pyramids area - it was an uncomfortable - and frankly - dangerous - situation. We refused, but it was brutal. So - we went to a different hotel after that to use their concierge! (who was great).

Staff were absolutely fantastic, so friendly and engaging, they all made our stay really enjoyable. Location of the hotel is great, right next to pryamids and close to the sphinx. Pool is great, still a little chilly in april, but not so much that you cant enjoy it. Food and drink is a good standard, great value for money, no need to all inc as its very flexible, which really added to our week. My only criticisms would be to have basic amenities shop with priced goods, rather than that being a bartering session. It would also be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but not essential as the room service is open 24hours and is reasonably priced. Overall we had a great holiday, thank you so much. To the staff , thank you for being so nice, and we hope to see you again.

Bedside lights didn’t work. This was reported on the 2nd day but no one came to fix. A service charge of 12 percent on drinks ordered at the bar. Shower didn’t work. No do not disturb signs and maid entered room without knocking. Room shabby. Wine £27 per bottle. Dining room was freezing as air con on so high. Printer didn’t work so had to have written receipt on check out. Stale croissants at breakfast. The only reason I can think of that this hotel is five star is that it does have a good gym.
