„This is the perfect location to explore Burton-on-the-Water as you are right in the center of town. Check-in was easy and so was parking. The staff are very friendly and the gentleman that makes the drinks has a great sense of humor.
Our room was large and the bed was comfortable although the location of our room was very noisy as it is right where all the deliveries occur for the hotel so we could hear vans driving on the gravel and opening doors during the night (Room 10). I would stay here ...

Viele kostenlose Parkplätze, leider werden morgens die Wege durch die Reisebusse der Gruppenreisen versperrt. Soll ja auch niemand einen Schritt zu weit laufen.
Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, wird nach ein paar Tagen aber eintönig. Keinerlei Abwechslung, kein Käse..., nur englisch breakfast.
Ist man gleich zu Beginn der Öffnungszeiten dort, ist einiges noch nicht fertig oder verfügbar.
Das Personal an der Rezeption und im Restaurant ist bemüht freundlich.
Im Poolbereich wird schon eine halbe Stunde vor Schließzeit wird mit dem Aufbau der Reinigungsgeräte begonnen. Sicherlich möchte das Personal auch Feierabend haben, doch Kundenorientierung sieht anders aus.
Der Poolbereich dürfte gerne auch innerhalb der Öffnungszeiten einmal grob gereinigt bzw. Aufgeräumt werden.
Sauberkeit im Zimmer war gut.

"Very nice location for exploring Oxfordshire. Typical English country hotel with good breakfast options and clean spacious rooms. Beware of the extra charge of 30 pounds per night for an extra bed. We booked for three people via Expedia and we’re not informed beforehand about that. It was only on the booking confirmation in very fine print.
Breakfast staff was nice, did not have much interaction with the rest of staff. There were some problems with our booking dates so I think we ended up with a different smaller room, but did not have to pay the charge for the extra bed as a compensation.
There are a lot of groups staying one night only so breakfast can get busy and noisy. I was a bit disappointed about the bread selection, toast and small sweet things only, no bagels or crumpets but that may be only me. On the whole I‘d stay there again as it is a really great location for seeing places by rental car."

Jeder Schritte der Nachbarn, vor allem von oben, hört man mit lautem Knarren und Knaksen, so sehr, dass man nachts aufwacht. Essen im Restaurant lieblos und überteuert. Sehr sehr schade, denn das Hotel selbst hätte so viel mehr Potential."
