Shower could have more "power", and the very good served breakfast....probably schould be self service in order to have a little bit more time to enjoy it.
Bed was really good, and rest of furniture too. Very good towels, good free Internet....all you need.

Booked a table for dinner at 8pm, the staff sat us but then never returned to the table. Went to the bar to order some drinks which were then served and at 8:10 the staff came to the table and asked us to quickly order as the kitchen was closing. Food was ok but nothing special. At 9:50 the staff brought us the bill and asked to settle it as they would be closing at 10pm. Paid ...

„The hotel is located in the village of Blockley, one of our favourite villages in the Cotswolds, as it is completely untouristy and truly charming. It is also very close to other villages, all easily reachable within 10–15 minutes by car. The hotel rooms are a bit dated, but the staff were extremely kind and even upgraded our room, giving us a very lovely and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast, ordered from the menu, was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay“

"Very nice location for exploring Oxfordshire. Typical English country hotel with good breakfast options and clean spacious rooms. Beware of the extra charge of 30 pounds per night for an extra bed. We booked for three people via Expedia and we’re not informed beforehand about that. It was only on the booking confirmation in very fine print.
Breakfast staff was nice, did not have much interaction with the rest of staff. There were some problems with our booking dates so I think we ended up with a different smaller room, but did not have to pay the charge for the extra bed as a compensation.
There are a lot of groups staying one night only so breakfast can get busy and noisy. I was a bit disappointed about the bread selection, toast and small sweet things only, no bagels or crumpets but that may be only me. On the whole I‘d stay there again as it is a really great location for seeing places by rental car."

Jeder Schritte der Nachbarn, vor allem von oben, hört man mit lautem Knarren und Knaksen, so sehr, dass man nachts aufwacht. Essen im Restaurant lieblos und überteuert. Sehr sehr schade, denn das Hotel selbst hätte so viel mehr Potential."
