South Boulder Ranch House with large yard

Come stay at our beautiful little ranch house in South Boulder. We are close to all the fun this part of Colorado has to offer. You will have access to two bedrooms and one bathroom. This is our full time, year round single family home so you will see our things around but the house will be clean and decluttered so you can enjoy your vacation. Please read the full description before booking.

You will have full, private access to our huge backyard with a large grass area, a kid’s play structure with a sandbox underneath, and a large flagstone patio with a dining table, chairs, and umbrella. The stone patio also has a comfortable outdoor sofa for socializing or naps. We also have a fully covered wood deck out the back door, good for being outside while hiding from rain or the strong Colorado sun. The backyard also has a propane grill available for guest use.

The main bedroom has a queen bed with a tempurpedic foam mattress. The second bedroom has two twins in the form of a trundle bed. Both beds are equipped with high quality all foam mattresses. All bedding is provided.

Our small bathroom has a tub and shower with a handheld showerhead. Great for both kids and adults. Towels and basic toiletries provided.

Our large kitchen is great for cooking and fully stocked with dishes, glassware, kids cups, plates and bowls. We have all the pots, pans, and small appliances you will (likely) need. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, a gas stove, dishwasher and fridge with ice maker. Coffee maker, hot water kettle, tea and coffee provided. The house will be stocked with all the dish soap or other cleaning supplies you may need.

Adjacent to the kitchen is an open plan dining space with a large table that can easily seat 6 or squeeze in 8 if two people sit on either end. Our living room has a large couch and comfortable chair.

There are two TVs in the house: one in our living room and one in the guest room with double twin beds. One is a smart TV, the other is equipped with a Roku, which means you can stream on it the same as a smart TV. The house has reliable, fast Wifi.

Our neighborhood is a quiet, family friendly place within walking distance to a great city park with a creek running through it. You are two short blocks from a stretch of the extensive, paved biking/walking paths that run throughout the entire city of Boulder. We are only minutes away from some of the best hiking and mountain biking in the foothills. At this location you will have easy access to trails, mountain fun and city amenities like fantastic shopping, restaurants, sporting events and museums.

.8 miles to Table Mesa Shopping Center–King Soopers and Whole Foods grocery stores, Neptune Mountaineering, Boxcar Coffee, Southside Walnut Cafe (breakfast & lunch), Sweet Cow Creamery (amazing ice cream), Tandoori Grill (Indian food), Southern Sun & Under The Sun (related restaurants and breweries with delicious local beer and great food). And more–an easy walk and even faster drive with just about everything you will need just up the street from our neighborhood.

2.2 miles to Chautauqua Park–iconic Boulder location with a fantastic restaurant at the historic dining hall, concerts held all summer at the auditorium, and the Chautauqua trailhead offers a ton of amazing hiking trails and gorgeous year-round scenery.
3.1 miles (8 minute drive) to NCAR–research laboratory and parking spot for great hiking along the foothills
2.5 miles to Pearl Street–historic downtown Boulder with a pedestrian mall full of shopping and restaurants.
23 miles (45 minute drive) to Eldora Ski area
27 miles (35 minute drive) to downtown Denver
42 miles (45 minute drive) to DIA (Denver International Airport)
42 miles (1 hour drive) to Rocky Mountain National Park (east entrance in Estes Park, CO)

THINGS TO KNOW:
-Minimum 3 night stay
-Any property damage will be charged to the renters
-We live here full time with our lovely rescue dog, Luna. She is an awesome mutt, but she is not hypoallergenic. The house will have a thorough, deep clean before your stay but please know we cannot guarantee there will be no sign of a dog living here with us. If you are highly allergic we suggest you try somewhere else.
-We also live here with our school-aged kiddo and while the house is not baby-proofed, all kids and little ones are welcome. We do not have travel cribs or other items like high chairs available but we know the name of local rental companies that will deliver what you may need while you’re traveling.
-All kind and responsible humans (age 25 and older) are welcome to rent our home. We are a scholar and artist. You will see evidence of our work and interests throughout our home. We ask that you respect our possessions, books, and artwork. We are LQBTQI+ and BIPOC friendly. Please reach out with any questions.
-We will likely be out of town during your stay but we will be available and responsive over text and email. Furthermore, there will be local people we employ to help with your stay.
-Be advised helpers may have access to the property to care for the lawns and gardens during your stay. No one will be accessing the inside of the house while you are there.
