Friendly and very helpful host. Accommodated my dietary requirements very well.
The optional breakfast is tasty and substantial, which is a big hit with me, and definitely worth paying the extra for.
Nice new flooring and carpets throughout. My room was clean but could use an electric socket near the bed (I have advised host on this). Bedside lamps were battery only and ran out of power when I went out for a long evening. This might be only an issue in one room however.
Runway is very handy for the centre of town and has a couple of shops within easy walking distance.
Parking was OK when I went but might be harder during peak season.
Wifi works in bedrooms which is definitely better than most B&Bs in the area.
The central heating doesn't work in all rooms (apparently a new pump is needed), but the host did provide a plug-in electric heater which was just about sufficient.
Re-decoration is ongoing but the progress seems to be slow, hopefully this will be completed soon as well. The floors have been done throughout and do look nice. The walls, woodwork and banister were still to be done.
Host inherited an outdated building and has already invested substantially in the renovations, this is obvious. There is still more to be done though, which with relatively little extra cost will make a big difference.
I would be happy to stay again here, and hopefully it will be even nicer once the improvements I mentioned have been done.
Overall I can recommend very highly.
