Can I ask you to look back at our WhatsApp group chat with us? At the beginning of the chat you will see the screenshot I sent you of a map showing the exact location of our meeting point, with red arrows pointing to the spot to avoid any doubt. After that you’ll see the exact address of our meeting point written below. Daniel, who checked you into the apartment then repeated the address in the message he sent you immediately after mine followed by a link to Google Maps with a dropped pin at our meeting point. No matter which of these 4 references you used, they were all guiding you to the same spot. Fortunately, you got out of the taxi very nearby and Daniel found you almost immediately. I am so sorry you found the layout of the apartment inconvenient - we include a detailed drawing of the layout among our online photos for clarity. If you scroll down towards the end of our group chat you’ll see that on the morning you left, you asked if I ‘knew of somewhere you could leave your luggage until your flight at 6pm’, not 4pm as you’ve stated above. As this was well past the time our next guests were checking into the apartment, I suggested the nearest left luggage facility at ‘De Tot Al Born’, our little local supermarket who are professional and reliable partners of the left- luggage company ‘UseBounce’. It is our pleasure to store our guests’ luggage after check out so long as it’s collected before our next guests arrive. Sadly, I wasn’t aware you had given me the wrong flight time until it was too late. Nonetheless, I’m glad your experience was positive on the whole and that you enjoyed your stay.

I am so pleased to know you were happy with your choice of apartment. I do like to check in with our guests to make sure everything’s okay. Over the years we’ve provided support to a family whose daughter had to be hospitalised on the morning they were due to fly home, and helped procure essential medication for someone with heart problems after he left his own medication at home! We also assisted a family who arrived with absolutely no luggage whatsoever other than a very large Brazilian pot!!! Fortunately, most of our guests come and go without incident but when needs must … we try to be there. Thanks for being such lovely guests and I hope you will come again someday. Kay.

One of the reasons I give out my private phone number is to allow our guests to get in touch if they need to. I would have contacted the neighbours you mention had I known. The magic of the location was what drew us to the apartment first and foremost.
