Relaxing in Aswan
Das beste Hotel in Aswan, die Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel und Stillvoll eingerichtet, alles sauber und ein unbezahlbarer Blick auf den Nil. Der Empfang sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen in den Restaurants im Hotel war ebenfalls sehr gut, nettes Personal, ein schöner Ort zum entspannen. Einzig der Pool ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und bedarf demnächst eine Renovierung. Ich kann dieses Hotel bestens empfehlen.

Wunderschönes Hotel, schlechter Service
Das Hotel zumindest der PALACE Teil ist wunderschön,die Zimmer sind liebevoll resauriert und auch der Ausblick von der Terasse ist Athemberaubend und stellt den schönsten Ausblick von ganz Assuan dar. Das einzige nicht schöne am Hotel ist der solzialistische Neubauklotz, welcher die Zimmer ohne PALACE im Namen bietet, diese haben zwar alle einen Nilblick jedoch ist das Hotel als seperates Obejekt zu sehen und hat rein gar nichts mit dem wunderschönen originalen PALACE zutun. Was leider bei dem Hotel überhaupt nicht stimmt ist der Service. Trotz etlicher MItarbeiter und kaum Gäste verursacht einach alles ein Problem. - Bei der eigenen Anreise mit dem Auto, gab es zum einen keine Hotel eigenen Parkplätze - Beim Frühstück gab Es zwar eine Omlettstation, der zugehörige Koch hingegen musste immer unter Stress von zig MItarbeitern erst gerufen werden und hat es dann noch nichteinmal hinbekommen ein Omlett zuzubereiten. Das Frühstück an sich ist gernell nicht wirklich in der Klasse eines 5-Sterne Hotels. - Die einfachsten Fragen an der Rezeption nach dem Besten Weg zu einer Attarktion oder einer Sadt wurden durcheinander und unzureichend beantwortet. Wer ein wunderschönes Hotel sucht ist im PALACE Teil der Hotels gut aufgehoben, wer gutes Essen oder 5-Sterne Service sucht sollte besser wo anders hingehen.

Wir haben zum wiederholten Mal eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbracht. Der wunderschöne Garten, großzügige Zimmer mit grandiosem Blick auf den Nil und historische Stätten und das Hotel an sich begeistern uns immer wieder aufs Neue. Die Restaurants bieten vorzügliche Küche; auf der Terrasse genossen wir internationale Küche mit hervorragendem Service. Orientalische Küche auf höchstem Niveau wird im Oriental angeboten, wo wir meist zum Dinner waren. Auch hier ist der Service sensationell, alle unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Allen Mitarbeitern, von Pool, Poolbar, Restaurants, Spa und Housekeeping, herzlichen Dank für einen tollen Aufenthalt. Wir kommen wieder!

Schönstes Hotel in Ägypten
Familienurlaub mit 4 Kindern. Das Hotel hatte 2 genau gegenüberliegende Zimmer reserviert, sodass die Familie trotz nicht vorhandener Familienzimmer faktisch zusammen war. Das Hotel ist ein alter Plast mit dem (voll renovierten) Chame des ausgehenden 19. Jahrhunderts. Die Anlagen sind extrem gut gepflegt und das Personal sehr freundlich. Es ist als Ausgnagsbasis für die Erkundung des südlichen Ägyptens bestens geeignet. Nach erfolgreicher Besichtigungstour kann man in den Anlagen entspannen und nachvollziehen, warum reiche Europäer zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderst monatelang dort weilten.

Das Hotel liegt wundervoll am und über dem Ufer des Nils. Von dem Restaurant auf der Terasse hatten wir beim Frühstück bereits den großartigen Blick auf den Nil, die auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Flusses gelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten und die prächtige Gartenanlage des Hotels. Der Service ist hervorragend. Die Restaurants bieten exquisite Küche. Das Wellness Angebot ist sehr gut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden mit Sicherheit bald zurückkommen.

Sollte man mal gesehen haben.
Eine Beurteulung des Zimmers fällt schwer da wir ein Upgreat auf eine Suite bekommen hatten und die war klasse. Die Zimmer wurden vor drei Jahren alle komplett renoviert. Das Haus hat charme und alle sind sehr nett. Nagativ: der Pool war sehr trüb und sah nicht wirklich sauber aus was für ein Hotel in dieser Preiskategorie eine NO GO ist.

Iconic place filled with historical and majestic vibes. Everything was great. Food was delicious. The piano player at 1902 restaurant at dinner was phenomenal playing um Kalthoum and other classic Arabic music. Really memorable. The staff is polite and extra kind and gracious. The wooden stairs were not so clean and had webs at some corners.

This is a most luxurious hotel with large rooms with balconies, huge bath. And the bed is the softest--like sleeping on a cloud. Love the public spaces. A gem to be found in Aswan on the Nile. The food was only ok. But the service was great. We had the most expensive martini I have ever had at the bar! $42! But I would still return if in Aswan.

Magical setting right on the Nile! Beautiful and historic building, fabulous swimming pool and spa for relaxing (highly recommend Donya at the spa for massages and body scrub), fantastic restaurants (3), and the staff was so friendly and attentive. My wife and I stayed at this Historical hotel so look over the Niles, to experience a part of history, and also to enjoy a bit of luxury in a classy way. This hotel meets all of our expectation. About the only negative thing is that's a bit far from the airport, and haggling with the local taxi driver requires way too much effort.

Truly magnificent with spectacular view
Beautiful room with incredible view. Marina from Guest Relations was fabulous, organised a special cake for my husbands birthday which was most appreciated. Housekeeping and room service staff were lovely and helpful. Fabulous service from the bar staff. Gorgeous hotel full of history and beautifully renovated. We will definitely be back.

Fantastique ! Tout est parfait ! L'hôtel est magnifique à l'intérieur et tout est fait pour qu'on puisse s'y sentir très bien. La vue de la chambre donnant sur le Nil est incroyable. Agréables surprises et attentions à mon arrivée dans la chambre. Tout le personnel est agréable et se plie en 4 pour vous satisfaire dans la joie et la bonne humeur. Les deux piscines sont très appréciables. En bref une belle parenthèse où l'on est dans une véritable bulle. Bon petit déjeuner avec du choix, juste un petit problème avec le room service (mauvaise garniture du plat, différent de celui annoncé sur la carte/menu et en dessert les macarons sont très basiques) Excepté cela un séjour inoubliable !

We had multiple bookings for this property and both were great. Our first was in the original building with a garden view. The rooms are older but very well maintained so they don't feel old or dated in any way, plus they are quite large. Staying in this building is very convenient for dining as all the restaurants but the Egyptian grill are here including the breakfast buffet. Our second booking had us in the newer building with a Nile view. This room was amazing, pretty much apartment size and the balcony was quite large with AMAZING views of the Nile and sunset. Of the two I would definitely choose the newer building rooms as my favorite but both were great. Staff at the hotel were fantastic. Breakfast was delicious but doesn't have any serving stations like a buffet, so no eggs. Dinners were just okay. Their food seems to cater to elderly British tastes. The best of the restaurants was the Egyptian one at the newer building. All that said the stay was amazing and by far the best hotel in Aswan.

This hotel is an oasis in the middle of a chaotic area on the Nile. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and it's staff. This is a top notch place to stay exceeding all of my expectations. The location is terrific, the rooms are oversized in the new wing, and boats are docked right at the hotel for taxi rides up the river. The ambiance is romantic and relaxing, with a spa on site. I will return to this one!

Uma excelente opção para quem vai a Aswan
Para quem vai a aswan para visitar o templo de Abul Simbel, não tem outro hotel a se hospedar a não ser o Sofitel Legend Old Catarct. O hotel é maravilhoso, piscina externa linda com vista para o rio nilo, a piscina é um pouco aquecida para aqueles que não gostam de agua fria, conta ponto para quem vai no inverno. A piscina do spa é coberta e é incrivelmente linda. Os quartos são enormes, cama excelente, ar condicionado e aquecimento, sacada com vista para os jardins e para o rio nilo. Café da manha é muito bom com uma boa variedade. O único ponto negativo que vi é que achei a comida cara pelo que é oferecido nos pratos, principalmente para quem vai almoçar ou jantar no hotel.
