Paper-thin floors
Everything was exactly as noted except that the building is so hold, and the floors must not have been reinforced, so we could hear the condominium people upstairs: every footstep, word, cough, sneeze, so that it sounded like they were in our condo--which did not go well with our dog. We were really stressed out about it and ended up staying only one night instead of the three we paid for. I had hoped to recoup some of our money: the three nights were more than $1,000, and we had to find a same-day rental because we couldn't stay there with the dog barking. We've stayed in lots of hotels, including one in Asheville, and we've never had the floors make so much noise anywhere.
I reached out to the condo's owner, who is great at communicating, and he said not to worry because no one was checking in above us for the rest of our stay (I did worry, and we left) and then Brian messaged me late on Sunday to say that people were checking in above us after all, so it was really good that we left. I wish that we could get reimbursed for part of our stay because we were only there one night.
It was very stressful. That said, the balcony is lovely. It's a great location if you like a lot of bar/brewery hopping and shopping. If homeless people stress you out, don't stay downtown. There are a lot of homeless people and revelers. The walls were thick and kept outside noises at bay. Sadly, the floors need to be reinforced/better insulated.

Location Was Perfect!!
This was the perfect place to for my husband and I to stay in downtown Asheville. We love going to breweries, eating out, and shopping. We were able to walk, or take a short Uber to everything. The condo was in excellent shape, was clean, and had everything we needed for a long weekend. We will return!

Great place, but may not be best for light sleepers.
Beautiful place that's in walking distance to shopping and lots of places to eat. Great deck for our morning coffee. My husband is a very light sleeper and was able to hear the people moving about in the place above us. I'm not a light nor heavy sleeper, and it did not bother me at all..

location location location
The condo was very nice . Check in was easy , property manager was very responsive , unit was very clean. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the minimal equipment in the kitchen . Usually it would not have been a problem , but we decided to cook one night , it was a little challenging . Also parking is challenging . It was in no way the property management’s fault , but is a small hassle. I have rented at these condos a few times and would not hesitate to book again . The location can not be beat .

Excellent Location in Downtown
Some of many Pros:
This property is in 10mn at most (and 2-6mn to many) walk to all the shops and places to eat and drink in downtown Asheville. Advance email instructions on getting into the unit and finding parking told us everything we needed to know, making check-in (and check out) super easy. The unit was well stocked--I appreciated the fragrance free laundry soap especially-- and nicely furnished. there were reading lights on both sides of the bed, (the lack of which in so many rental is one of my pet peeves).
We were in one of the dog friendly units with our dog, who loved the balcony. There were bowls for him and a sheet designated to being tossed over the sofa so he could hop up, which I thought was particularly nice and understanding.
When I had a question during our stay, I sent an email and it was answered almost immediately.
Minor Cons:
Gotta say that the place seemed smaller than the pictures, especially the bedroom, but that wasn't really a problem. The hardwood floors of the old building and lack of soundproofing did lead to some noise, so earplugs would help any light sleeper.

Our little getaway spot
We love coming to Asheville especially for our Anniversary. We love bringing our little dog with us. This place offers us the opportunity to be in the heart of Downtown Asheville and bring our little four legged friend. We had a great visit. The owners warn you about the sound so prepare for it. If you can overlook that, it’s a great place that is dog-friendly.

Good for two.
We enjoyed our stay at this unit and it’s proximity to the downtown action. It’s small but good for a weekend getaway. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. A peek at the mountains and good people watching.
A couple of cons:
Small bedroom. The door doesn’t close because the bed is in the way. There will be no privacy if someone is on the sleep sofa.
Not the cleanist. The dog food mat was dirty with dried up food and old water in the bowls. (We didn’t bring a pet.)
Worst of all was the foul smell of urine in the building entry, which Is hard to control. There are many homeless drug users in the area. Very sad and it’s throughout that area of downtown.
