Haben die ersten 2 Nächte ein modrich riechendes Zimmer Nr. 216 mit schimmlichen Fenstern und ein unbedingt zu erneuerndem Bad bekommen. Am dritten Tag wechselten wir komplikationslos in ein gemütliches grösseres Zimmer Nr. 321.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt.
Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel, welches gerade renoviert wird. Leider sind die Malerarbeiten doch ein wenig ungenau. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Einziges Manko, und das scheint in Irland fast überall der Fall zu sein, ist es, dass es auf den Toiletten keine Toilettenbürsten zum reinigen des WC gibt. Das Essen in der der Bar ist lecker. Es gab Livemusik und diese machte jede menge Stimmung. Der Spa und Wellnessbereich ist ebenfalls sauber und ordentlich. Ein weiterer Besuch von uns ist durchaus im Rahmen des möglichen.

kann man bedenkenlos buchen!
Geräumiges und sauberes Zimmer, schnelles kostenloses Internet überall und sogar das Irish Breakfast war für meinen kontinentaleuropäischen Gaumen geniessbar. Am beeindruckensten waren aber die Damen an der Rezeption, welche trotz Spätanreise und kurz vor Feierabend nicht müde wurden alle Fragen zu recherchieren und zu beantworten. Perfekt!

Schöne Lage
Schöne Lage, modernes Bad. Das Zimmer hatte leider nur ein kleines seitlich im Erker befindliches Fenster, was den Eindruck eines fensterlosen Raumes hinterlässt. Handtücher waren nur für zwei anstatt für drei Personen vorhanden, dies wurde trotz Reklamation nicht geändert. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet.

The bathroom was very substandard. The basin leaked,the taps had no pressure and the basin was very small.The mirror light on the left didn’t work and the right hand light flickered. The door opened onto the basin making it too cramped. The tiling around the bath was damaged. We told reception , someone came and looked but nothing was done . The pillows were rock hard. The whole room needs a serious upgrade. Definitely not up to 4 Star standard. In all very disappointing . Reception staff unhelpful, but all other staff charming and efficient. We will not be rushing back

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel the staff were expectional and all very warm and friendly from the receptionist checking us in to the bar staff even though it was very busy. The breakfast staff couldn't have done enough checking in and being generally very welcoming and giving suggestions on the local area. The food was all very good we really enjoyed are eveving meal and breakfast. The lcoation is also very central. We had a tiny drip from the room above but the receptionist staff sorted this issue hence why good and not excellent.

Old property worn down in places ..some staff unhelpful firstly the male receptionist who im still awaiting his call about a early checkin ...staff member who approached us to ask us to vacate a table in the public area of the pub as it was reserved ?? Though no one appeared for a booking...The wedding party we were in spent alot of money and maybe abit more appreciation should of been shown to a well behaved group ....

I was working at the Dan McCabe with guest Sina Theil and had a fantastic time, then after the show straight to bed which are comfortably had a nice quiet sleep up next morning checked out to do it all again at another venue, the staff where very friendly and had no issues with my stay so i would highly recommend stay at this hotel 😀

Beautiful hotel
Went to see the High Kings playing in the hotel, had dinner beforehand which was lovely, geode variety on the menu to suit all, food was lovely, atmosphere was great, service was perfect start to finish! Bedroom was of good size, with the usual amenities, tea, coffee, hair dryer etc,,, comfortable bed & the choice to change the heat settings in the room

A nice hotel, staff were pleasant and food was very good jyst very diassapointed with the room. The room itself was spacious and clean but no view ... faced out to a wall up into trees and bushes ....not a big issue we werent gazing out the window it just made for a darker room but there was good lighting in the room. The main reason i wouldnt book again is that the heating wasnt working ... the room was freezing. I thought it might be on a timer so we huddled under the duvets (beds were comfortable thankfully). I did try every button and switch nearby and turning the knob on the central heating but nothing. Reported it the next day. Someone came down to look at it and confirmed the central heating wasnt working in the room do dropped down a small electrical heater. It wasnt too bad, took a while but took the chill out of the air. I did have to try 3 different plug sockets because the 1st two were giving a humming/staticy nouse and didnt sound good and when i plugged them out the plugvwas hot. Then later on that night we discovered via a near slip incident the grouting in the tiles on bathroom floor was wet. Reported to reception and again someone came up to check it. It was water seeping out from the seal around the toilet...obviously seeping when we flushed the toilet. Nothing they could do to fix it without taking up the toilet to reaseal it so put a towel around the base and gave us extra towels for the floor incase it got worse.Wouldn't be rushing back unfortunately.

Really nice staff. Flush takes 5 minutes to refill and makes lots of noise. The vent in the bathroom makes lots of noise too. The rooms are not well insulated in terms of noise. We heard the person above us snoring for 2 nights. No safe as written in the description. The curtains were torn.

A lovely comfort room. Perfect for women. It has an iron and an ironing board! A small hair dryer for drying your hair and body. In front of a large mirror. Phone beside your double bed. Dail 0 for reception. Use your mobile for calls outside. TV is on an arm that’s moveable. Bed is super comfortable. Ask for a blanket to be sent to your room. Gorgeous views over Arklow town from bedroom window. Breakfast is fantastic!

Disappointed
Title: Staff Shines, but Overall Experience Falls Short I want to start by acknowledging the wonderful staff at this hotel – their friendliness and assistance truly stood out during our stay. Unfortunately, the positives end there. The value for money was quite disappointing ( €500+ seems to be the new normal for 1 room 2 nights) The high room rates were not justified by the overall experience. As a family with young children, the room layout was a major letdown. The lack of space and child-friendly features made our stay challenging. Adding to our frustration was the damp smell that seemed to emanate from the bathroom facilities. This was not only unpleasant but also concerning in terms of hygiene. The condition of the bathroom definitely needs improvement. Even the breakfast, which is often a highlight of a hotel stay, was uninspiring. Limited options and lackluster quality left a lot to be desired. While the staff's efforts were commendable, these issues significantly impacted our stay. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and takes steps to enhance the overall experience for future guests.
