Französischer Charme pur!
Tolles altes Haus in der Altstadt von Antibes mit viel Charme und Flair - nur je ca. 100 m vom Meer, der Markthalle und dem Picasso-Museum entfernt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und verfügt über eine große Dachterasse mit Blick aufs Meer uns über die Altstadtdächer. Es vermittelt ein sehr authentisch französisches Wohngefühl - will heißen, man fühlt sich hier fast wie ein Franzose und kaum wie ein Tourist. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit und kommunikativ. Fazit: Wir kommen wieder - und zwar schon im nächsten Jahr.

Great stay in the heart of Antibes
We were curious to experience the first time a winter week in Antibes. To cut it short - we had a great time in Antibes. The setting in the heart of the old town has a very authentic atmosphere. The Marché Provencal is virtually at your doorsteps and many nice restos and cafes as well. Within short time you get to know the merchants and you feel like a real Antibois. Also that our 14/16 year old kids could explore the town on their own whenever they liked was rewarding. For us not only the setting was important - at this time of the year we wanted a well appointed apartment with a cozy feel since you spend much more time at home than in summer. And this place was absolutely perfect for our purposes - everything was there in good quality- the bedding and linens are a dream and the living room / dining kitchen was also nice to spend time in. The house allows a lot of privacy as all of the three bedrooms are on different levels. The rooftop terrace is a true gem, the view exceptional - seaview, townview, mountainview all there, just turn around. You could spend hours there. We actually spent noontime up there on the few sunny days we had - we could bask in the sun and it did not feel at all like mid February - what a great escape for North of the Alps people like us. I do now understand why writers, painters etc. escaped to the côte d’azur in wintertime. Summertime is great, but you expect that ... but wintertime makes a surprisingly larger difference compared to Germany. Ultimately I would like to spend a few words on Ivan as a host. Ivan is probably the most meticulous and caring host you can imagine. Communication was great from booking until after vacations. He stays in touch during your stay to answer your questions (TV was a bit tricky if you are not familiar with French Freebox system; if you’re not into live TV there is also Netflix, Apple TV etc. and lots of greatly chosen DVDs) and he has added a warm vibe to the house. On our arrival we also found a sumptuous plate with sweet and salty pastries, some chilled beers in the fridge and a very nice bottle of good wine. These little frills make you feel at home rightaway and your vacation starts this very moment. To sum it up, Antibes is great anytime of year and with a place like Ivan’s you don’t want to leave. We enjoyed this winter week so much (apart from all the spring, fall and summer vacations we had spent there before) and are now looking to purchase a property ourselves ;-)

Ein Schmuckstück im Herzen der Altstadt
Im Oktober haben wir (3 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) eine Woche in diesem wunderbar restaurierten Haus mitten in der Altstadt von Antibes verbracht und die Zeit sehr genossen. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer und insbesondere der offenen Wohnküche, die für uns das Herz des Hauses war, lässt keine Wünsche offen, es fehlt an nichts und ist dazu noch äußerst geschmackvoll. Die Dachterrasse bietet einen traumhaften Blick über die Stadt und zum Meer. Auch die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt. Für die täglichen Einkäufe findet sich praktisch unmittelbar vor der Haustür alles, was das Herz begehrt. Unseren Mietwagen konnten wir in einer Entfernung von 5 Minuten Fußweg in einer öffentlichen Tiefgarage zu einem Wochenpauschalpreis abstellen, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Die Betreuung durch unseren Vermieter war ebenfalls hervorragend, sowohl vor der Anreise als auch vor Ort. Insgesamt können wir dieses Ferienhaus nur uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden es jederzeit wieder mieten.

Wonderful house in a wonderful town - Vive L'Antibes!
We spent a week in Antibes end of August this year (2016). We were 4 adults, my parents a friend of the family and myself. We enjoyed every single day and although time passed fast, it felt much more than a week. Antibes is a great place to start day excursions to beautiful places like Saint-Paul de Vence, Monaco or Cannes. Especially the small artist village with the stunning Fondation Maeght and the beautiful old town is worth a visit - thanks you Ivan for making us aware. Last not least Antibes itself is just so magnificent! The marche Provencal & the musée Picasso - we could have stayed on the terrace the entire day - make you feel at home. But there is one more important thing, which is a necessary prerequisite to make your visit in Antibes complete. If you want to stay in the most beautiful house with the most welcoming hosts and feel as Cote d'Azur as possible, than you should definitely stay in the Maison de la tour. It can meet all you expectations, no matter if you want to just relax in a beautifully furnished house, enjoy the envious glimpse of the passing tourist while entering you stunning city mansion or barbecue the most tasty and fresh Provencal vegetables on your terrace - only Picasso & his friends had a similar view - you will love it. Das Maison de la Tour hat all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Einrichtung ist ausserst geschmackvoll, ob Betten, Bettwäsche, Handtücher, sowie die gesamte Ausstattung der Wohnküche und der Dachterrasse sind von bester Qualität. Die Lage ist nicht zu toppen. Die Dachterrasse ist ein kleines Paradies mt Blick bis Nizza und auf die schneebedecken Seealpen. Der marche provencial direkt vor der Haustüre ist ein Eldorado für Feinschmecker. Dass alles pico bello sauber war, verseht sich von selbst , der nächste Urlaub ist geplant ind wir freuen uns schon darauf. Renate und Jo

Eure Meinung war mir um so wichtiger da ihr selbst viel Erfahrung mit der Renovierung und Einrichtung von alten Gebäuden habt. The Perfect Côte Azur Immersion
Our stay was all about food, culture and beauty. This townhome made all of those so easy to enjoy. With the market & the beach just steps away, memorable dining in the town and museums such as the Picasso museum a 3 minute walk. The home is well equipped for cooking the incredible foods from the market and the walkability made staying home bound more attractive than going on excursions most days!

Amazing house in superb location
This house is right in the middle of the old town yet in a quiet location. The house is perfect inside and has a gorgeous room terrace with amazing views. We stayed with our teenage daughters who loved being so close to town and also near the beach. Highly recommend it.

Perfect place to stay in Antibes!
Book this place! This is probably the best vacation rental I have ever booked. Fantastic location (steps to Marche Provencal and to the sea), impeccably clean, well stocked kitchen, lovely terrace with a stunning view and comfortable beds. Ivan is a dream to work with, so kind and professional. The car park is maybe a 10 minute walk from the apartment The first floor is the twin room with fireplace. The bathroom for this suite is downstairs with the washer and dryer. The next floor is the double bed with an en suite bathroom (tub, shower, toilet and bidet.) There are 3-4 steps up to the toilet/bidet/shower. The next floor is the master bedroom with a bathroom right next door (toilet and shower). The top floor is the kitchen and living area. with the stairs up to the terrace. We didn't use the twin bedroom or downstairs bathroom, but the other beds were amazingly comfortable. The water pressure was great also. We didn't cook while there, but the kitchen appeared to be well stocked. I can't say enough good things about this space and Ivan. If it's available, just book it! I hope to come back to Antibes in the future and will absolutely stay here again if I can.

Et fantastisk hus!
Dette huset kan anbefales på det sterkeste! Ivan var ekstremt hyggelig og behjelpelig, og huset var upåklagelig. Alt var pent og ryddig, det var kaffekapsler vi kunne bruke, kald vin til oss i kjøeskapet og vannflasker på nattbordet. Huset er koselig, og har en morsom planløsning. Når man går ut av inngangsdøren får man inntrykket av å bo i et levende museum(midt i gamlebyen). Det er ca 30 meter til nærmeste restaurant, samt matmarkedet, og Ivan ga oss svært vellykkede tips om hvor vi kunne spise. Disse stedene var det ca 2 minutter gangavstand til, så belliggenheten til huset var sånn sett helt perfekt. I tillegg er takterrassen et stort, stort pluss. Man sitter på taket av Antibes, midt i gamlebyen, i strålende solskinn(vi var heldige:). Bedre enn dette kan ihvertfall ikke vi tenke oss. Skal definitivt tilbake!

Excellent apartment in Old Antibes with boutique hotel type amenities!
Amazing apartment the Old Antibes! It felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel. Three big bedrooms each with full bathroom. We stayed there with 3 couples and everyone had their own level and was very comfortable. Each bathroom had hotel amenities (blow dryer, shampoo, shower gel). Beds were extremely comfortable and high quality linens. Fully equipped kitchen. Best part of the house is the amazing roof patio with views of Old Antibes and the water. Owners were very responsive and great to coordinate with. Were helpful during the stay. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Antibes. It is a very special and beautiful apartment!

We had a wonderful week in this fabulous home. Perhaps one of the highlights of our visit was dinner on the roof top terrace...the perfect place to spend an evening with family. A very special house
Our return to Maison de la Tour was as perfect as our first visit. Everything, the fixtures and fittings, the bed linen, towels and the outside furniture on the terrace is of the highest quality. Ivan, our host, is superb - his thoughtfulness and attention to detail is second to none, nothing is too much trouble. The beautifully furnished house is like a home from home - we settled back in immediately and can't wait to return next year!

Beautiful Place with Hidden Problems and a Bad Ending
This is a beautiful place in a great location with 3 bathrooms an a nice kitchen. On the outdoor deck at our first night dinner meal I sat down on a chair and fell back against the guard rail. Later when I took my shower the handle of the valve fell apart into the tub. And the next day my son mentioned his shower in another bathroom would not drain properly. On our last day we received a notice from our travel agency warning us of travel disruptions due to the rail strike. We were forced to leave early and were completely distracted by strike causing cancellations to most trains from Marseille that day. After later communicating with the property owner, he informed us he was charging us 600 euros for the broken chair which my family did not cause. I certainly feel he took advantage of us and warn others he can not be trusted.

Dear Randy, I have been surprised and disappointed by your review. Clearly, despite the fact that all but one of the 51 reviews I have received since I started letting Maison de la tour, have been 5 stars (the other one being 4 stars). I accept that it is not always possible to satisfy all guests despite doing the utmost to achieve that. What disappointed me most was that you say that I can not be trusted when in fact your comments are factually incorrect. When speaking to your during your stay you seemed to be loving my property and, least but not last, all other guests have held me in the highest regards . You never told me that the chair broke and you fell backwards: you initially denied that a chair had been broken and you subsequent were unable to explain how it had happened. Secondly, you never advised me of any problem with the bathrooms until 2 days after your departure asking you how your stay was. Again, if there had been a problem during your stay, I would have immediately address it there and then. At every checkout I inspect the property thoroughly - by doing this I actually discovered the broken chair (which you have failed to tell me) - and I did not notice any problems with the bathrooms except for a loose screw that I repaired immediately. In fact, the current guests, who have returned to MAISON DE LA TOUR for the 4th year, confirmed that they are ok. I never charge clients for small breakages, but in case of an expensive item, like this chair made by “Tribu”, which is of the highest quality. The producer assured me that the cause for the damage has been misuse and so I have no option but to do so. Security deposits are there to cover such events and whilst I can somehow understand you are not happy that you have to pay for an item you have broken, I do believe it is not fair of you to vent such anger in your review. At the end, you will notice that you have not been charged for this expense accepting that I bear the cost (although this is not fair) and yet your review is showing inaccurate information. With respect to the disruption you experience due to the industrial action I can only apologise on behalf of the French, but I do not think it should affect your review of my property and I do sincerely hope you are not blaming me for it. Once again, I am terribly sorry for this situation and hope that you can see that I always take my guests safety and well being at heart.

Wonderful townhouse in perfect location
This house is beautiful! You could spend your whole time on the roof deck if there weren’t a million sights to see in the area. There are 5 floors total with the roof deck - so lots of stairs - but lots of space and everything you need for a perfect holiday. Ivan is a wonderful host - always got back to me quickly with any questions - and very helpful when half of our group got delayed checking in by travel mishaps - he made sure family members got checked in and settled. Don’t hesitate to book here! Antibes is a perfect base to explore the area.

Fabulous House in a Fabulous Location
We had a wonderful stay in Maison de la Tour. The location is fantastic, the house is clean and fabulously decorated, the many stairs a well-need "workout" with all the eating and drinking. I can't say enough about what a great place this is. We arrived to meet Hannah, who gave us a rundown of the place and left goodies, as well as grocery requests we made in advance. She had some great restaurant suggestions, as well as tips on the best mode of transportation for various day trips. Thanks, Hannah! I wish I could rave about the weather, but, February in Antibes may not be the best time of year... Would love to go back. Highly recommend. Thanks for having us.

Spectacular
I have rented many homes over the years and Ivan's gorgeous house is definitely one of the best. The house is beautiful inside and out, perfectly located and equipped with everything one might need and more. The communication with Ivan was great throughout. The bottle of champagne, Christmas wreath and generous spread of Holiday treats that Ivan placed in the house were greatly appreciated and added to his already warm welcome. Location, location, location!
First of all, Ivan is a fantastic host. We arrived late, but he patiently waited for us. He helped us arrange transportation to the airport and checked in on us throughout our stay and is just extremely pleasant and caring. Upon our arrival he had a bottle of wine waiting for us along with a platter of local delicacies! The location of the apartment couldn't be better - close to beaches and the old market with lovely top floor views of the old town and the sea. The kitchen was well equipped as was the entire house. We had a great stay!

Beautiful home with an exceptional host.
The house is quite accurately pictured in the listing. What's not apparent until you get there is how thoroughly and beautifully equipped it is. The host spared no effort to make everything as perfect as possible to suit our changing configuration of guests. I have rented many charming places around the world through VRBO. None topped this for quality, completeness and ease of quickly addressing any issue that came up. Bravo Ivan for creating and caring for this exquisite seaside home. It's perfectly located near the daily market and close to a remarkable collection of wonderful small restuarants. We brought our sailboat to Port Vauban for our stay, so day sailing was a primary activity. It hardly gets better than having a lovely day on the water, capped with cocktails on the roof deck with its sensational view.

Beautifully renovated 17th century home, steps from the local food market and many great restaurants in Vieil Antibes. Rooftop terrace has phenomenal views of the Mediterranean and Antibes. Beds very comfortable! Ivan is extremely helpful and provided great recommendations for activities and assistance with reservations! Would definitely stay here again! We've stayed in MANY holiday homes all around the world and this rates as one of the best we have experienced! Beyond the couldn't-be-better location (proximity and character) and lovely house, Ivan has provided so much attention to detail to make this the model for all rentals. Creature comforts abounded from Apple TV and Netflix in all rooms, to high end kitchen appliances and cutlerly. Even the shampoo and body wash in well designed bathrooms. Lots of stairs but good to work off all the great food we ate just steps away😀

Charming, comfortable and well-equipped pied-a-terre in a wonderful location
We spent a week here enjoying Antibes and it's surrounds. This house is a charming base from which to do this. There are so many great things about it, it's hard to know where to start! The location is superb. Within a couple of minutes walk you can be shopping the fabulous Provençal market, sipping a coffee or beer in a sidewalk cafe, picking up a great bottle of wine for dinner, or standing on the sea wall looking out at the waves. The house is delightful, charmingly decorated throughout, comfortable and well equipped for gourmet cooking amazing meals with your market purchases. The roof terrace with its great views and comfortable seating is a great escape at the end of the day to relax in. Antibes itself is great walking town, you really don't need a car here, and there is lots to do in walking range, or you can take the "petit train" to Juan-les-Pins for a change of scene. You'll be getting plenty of exercise between strolling around, and climbing the stairs of this house - from the basement to the roof terrace you'll be climbing five flights of stairs! Finally, Ivan was a great host to us. He greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome, with some thoughtful gifts, and lots of help.

Perfect Location – Beautiful Home – Wonderful Views
What more could you ask more – positioned within the old town, this beautiful home is only a one minute walk to the covered markets, a few minutes to Antibes beach and a few more minutes to the Antibes shopping precinct. All three bedrooms have their own bathroom so whilst we were a family of four with grandparents, the home would work equally well for 3 couples. The beds are super comfortable and the linen and towels first class. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could want for and the dining/living area relaxing and very well decorated. As for the roof terrace: well we virtually lived there. Yes the views are fantastic but it has also been well equipped to make a very comfortable eating and relaxing area. It was just wonderful to go up there to watch the sunrise over the water and then return again at the end of the day to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset over the hills. We did of course get out during the day: there is so much to see on the Côte d'Azur by using Antibes as a base. Ivan was the perfect host in every possible way, going above and beyond our expectations. Finally, there is secure covered parking available at a reasonable cost only a 5 minute walk away which if carparks were graded, is as good as they get. We had a fabulous stay at Maison de la Tour and hope we may find the opportunity to return one day soon.

perfect house perfect host............A little bit of heaven.
The house was perfect in every way ,Ivan has thought of everything to make a wonderful holiday. The little personal touches were really appreciated by the 4 of us, especially the home made jam and pastries. Ivan recommended some excellent restaurants especially The Comptoir and Mamalous. He is very professional, funny and has a great sense of humour. It is in a perfect location and we would certainly recommend it. We hope to return next year. Lovely stay in Antibes!
This was our first stay in Cote d'Azur and I'm so happy we chose this location. It's right in the heart of old Antibes, and within easy walking distance of everything you could want to see. Ivan is the consummate host and the townhouse is equipped with everything you could possibly need. One note: there are lots of stairs within the townhouse, so if you have any mobility issues this could be a problem, but if you don't... every step is worth the view from the rooftop deck! We spent every evening on the roof, drinking rosé and watching the sunset. I traveled with my father (senior) and my son (8yo) and this property was perfect for all of us. If you have younger kids there is no need to worry the stairs - there are gates on main levels to help keep everyone safe. I can't think of one thing within the house that was missing - it really has everything! Nearby is a great little sandy beach and thick, lovely towels are provided by the host. Most mornings there's an amazing market just around the corner from the apartment. To top it off, the apartment is in a pedestrian zone, so in the evenings it's nice and quiet. It just really doesn't get much better. We were so sad to leave, but our experience renting this property made it so that we know one day we'll be back!

I agree with you, the roof terrace with the 360 degree view is quite special and it is worthwhile climbing up the stairs. As you can imagine, there are no elevators in historical buildings in the old town, but thankfully the staircase is wide and not too steep. Amazing Property, Perfectly located in the heart of Old Town Antibes.
We have just spent a week staying in this beautiful house and I can honestly say that it is by far the nicest property we have ever had the pleasure in renting. The house has been renovated to the highest standard and is full of charm and modern facilities. Everything we could have possibly needed was supplied by Ivan, and nothing was too much trouble for him. The Roof Terrace is simply stunning, with wonderful sea views making it the perfect spot for relaxing evening drinks and dinners. Wifi access is fantastic, good signal on all floors which was very useful as I did have to work some mornings whilst out there. All of the local shops, bars and restaurants are within a minutes’ walk of the property, so the location could not have been better. I highly recommend this property to others, you will not find a more comfortable, beautifully presented house in Antibes, nor a more welcoming host than Ivan!

Amazing home in the heart of Antibes
Our stay at Maison de la Tour in Antibes was nothing short of amazing. First, Ivan was the best host. He booked us a car to the house from the airport on the way in and out of Antibes. He also left us some local treats for us to eat throughout the week. His homemade and jam and olive oil were our favorites! He kept in contact throughout our whole stay to ensure everything was going smoothly and to check if we need anything. Our stay was perfect due to Ivan's attentiveness. Second, the house was amazing. Our favorite thing to do was sit and drink coffee or cocktails on the rooftop terrace. The view is the best in the city. Each room was decorated wonderfully and was very comfortable. We also loved that each room had a luxurious bathroom as well. The location of the house was perfect. Walking distance to the beaches and shops. There also is a market right outside of the apartment which we visited in the mornings for breakfast supplies. If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Antibes, look no further. Maison de la Tour and Ivan made our stay in Antibes perfect!

Maison de la Tour
We have just returned from a wonderful week's stay at Maison de la Tour. The house has been beautifully restored, furnished and appointed. We had two small children with us and their needs had also been taken into consideration which was great! The roof terrace is spectacular! The location of the house is wonderfully convenient for the old town and all of its amenities. Ivan could not have been more welcoming, helpful and reassuring about the fact that we should relax and enjoy the house as our home for our time there. We did, and hope to be able to return to Antibes soon!
