first of all the hotel is located in a very nice area and you get to the city centre very quickly by using the trams, a station is only a few hundred meters away by foot. the venue itself is very well taken care of and has a very charming atmosphere to it. the rooms are nic3 and tidy, the bathroom was clean, you also get enough storage space for clothes and on top of that a great view out of the window. what wasn't so nice about it was first of all the noise. since it's an old building this is to be expected, however we felt that it was just a bit too much to hear every step of the hallway and to get woken up late at night by people shutting their doors. What really quite bothered us though were the cleaners. Every day they started cleaning the rooms before 9 a.m., and every morning they were knocking on our door at said time. this could've easily been solved if the rooms had some kind of sign to put on the door knob, but there wasn't anything like that. on top of that, they barely spoke english which made it really difficult to explain that they might please come back later until wel got ready. now i know this isn't uncommon but we'd still appreciate it if they came to do our rooms at like 12 or something. also on the last day, check out time was at 11 which is perfectly fine, but again the cleaners already asked us to leave the room at around 10 which to me just seems unnecessarily early.
