„Spacious room, hammock on the balcony with a great view. The view from the roof top is amazing and there is a gym. The hotel offers bicycles for free. Many restaurants, supermarket and Hokey Pokey Water Taxi in close proximity. A great experience over all and the best place I have been in Placencia so far.“

„I had a delightful experience at Ocean Breeze! We were greeted with a lovely sign out front and the AC was running in our room. The front desk associate was gracious in accommodating our request for an early check in when our travel plans unexpectedly changed. „I usually ignore e-mails asking for a review, so this place was special. The property was centrally located, so it was an easy walk to anywhere in the village. The cabana was clean and the few kitchen items we needed were provided quickly and easily. Selina was incredible! She was so very helpful at every turn. This is definitely a great place to stay.“

„What an amazing property. This little island (about 1 acre in size) is absolutely beautiful. The boat ride from Placencia was definitely farther than a 10 minutes....more like a 40-45 minute trip as the island is approx 20 miles in the middle of the ocean. The staff is one of a kind..... Tito and Albert were our bartenders. Tito was there our entire trip (6 days); Albert arrived the day before we left. Anything we wanted these guys were on it. „Can't say enough good things about Alux! My friend and I visited Placencia for our Birthdays and were originally booked at other accomadations. We left the other place after one night and found Alux. What a gem! It is in the heart of the village. Everything is walkable, with lots of options for food, shopping and fun. „STAY HERE! The best experience I’ve had at any resort ever. The staff is lovely, the food is fantastic, and the island itself is right out of your wildest dream. At night, there are noises akin to what you’d hear on a ship, or deep in the woods—which may be relaxing to some and annoying go others. Also, the hot water can be an otter finicky. But trust me, you will not care! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I wouldn’t miss for anything! No other vacation has compared. “

Lots of restaurants around and a store across the street. An extra bonus was use of the laundry downstairs.
