„A no-frills hotel which is absolutely wonderful. Our room was large with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the shower. Everything was clean which is very important. Upgrades will be done per the front desk. Breakfast is no longer being served but there are plenty of places in neighboring towns for food. There is plenty of parking, vending machines for snacks and amazing sunset views.“

„This was a fabulous weekend at a beautiful lake. The house was clean, comfortable, and kitchen had all needed items for cooking in. We enjoyed the large back deck with plenty of seating as well as the fire pit. Of course the real draw was the lake! It was clean, quiet (no motor craft) and easy to enjoy with the kayaks and boat at the house. „I was only here for 1 night but it was a lovely experience. The staff is very nice and answered all my curious questions, the VIEW is one of the best you’ll find in the Catskills. „As a little motel close to a festival venue, the Black Bear Lodge was just what I was looking for. I was prepared for it to be small and basic and for the decor to be somewhat dated. What I found was a motel that was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The innkeeper was delightful. I would stay there again. “
