„Wir waren mehrere Tage bei Marc und waqren für Moosewatching am Mooseheadlake und Hiking gekommen. Marc vermittelte und einen Guide und versorgte uns mit Tipps fürs Abendessen und Touren. Selbst sein eigenes Kartenmaterial stelle er uns dafür zur Verfügung. Das Frühstück war eine tolle Austauschbörse für Erfahrungen, oft auch anderer deutscher Touristen, zumeist Pärchen. „Kann ein 10-Zimmer-Inn von einer Person alleine geführt werden? Wir waren erst ab 18Uhr willkommen wegen anderweitigen Verpflichtungen des Wirt's. Kleinliche Einstellung des Wirtes, Beispiel, die Zimmerheizung war auf 72F = 22Celsius limitiert. Zimmer, 15m2 für 2E plus 1Kind. Betten: 1.8m Lang, quietschen bei jeder Bewegung. Das Bad war top, bestes Toilettenpapier! Das Ganze war okay aber sicher nicht mehr, wir verstehen die übrigen sehr guten Bewertungen nicht!“

The Bears Den is comfortable, clean and in a perfect location for anyone visiting Moosehead Lake for any activities in summer or winter. We can’t recommend the Bears Den more highly. “

„Beautiful spot within view of the fork in the river with the gentle sound of moving water. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxed stay including an outdoor grill and fire pit. If you don’t feel like cooking, The Inn if the River is a quick walk just across the street and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We will stay here again when we return to the area. “

„Great little place with a great view of Moosehead Lake and Mt Kineo! Super clean and just right for my husband and me for three nights. Good spot for going out and exploring (drove Golden Road and scenic byway near Mt Katahdin, hiked Mt Kineo, watched moose near Greenville). Ate dinner at nearby Rockwood Bar & Grill. Excellent!“
